Changing alternator and I can't get the lower radiator hose off. I took the retaining clip off but can't remove radiator hose for the life of me. Any input would be appreciated.

Can you work a flathead screwdriver between the hose and hard pipe? That can help break it free.

Sweet! I don't have one, but can I borrow yours? Fresh off the Civic forums I see? You need them in those forums I've heard. Now you can finally afford that used 150K mile S4? Congrats! Let me guess...you're lowered, stanced and have neon green brake calipers. lol

That was a 'joke' with a purpose. And you threw the 'lol' at the end to try and soften it.

i had to resort to the purse method too on another car. never again. i should have just dremel'd it off instead, it would have been easier and i would have ended up with 2 hoses instead of one - that's a win/win. next time i'll use these but i have to order them first.

It has been 9 month since this post and I probably think about it once a week. Classic.

I read this without looking at the dates, and found it hysterical.
