View Full Version : P2432 - Secondary Air Pressure Sensor Short to Ground - where is it?

I have this code on my S4; it comes back immediately if I clear it, so I think the sensor must be toast. Looks like I can pick up a new OEM sensor for about $70 (unless somebody has a better/cheaper option), but I don't know physically where the sensor is located. Under the air box somewhere? Closer to the manifold?

It is on the very back of the motor, directly below the solenoids that are connected to the back of the supercharger. You can replace it with a little patience, a long screw driver, and laying on top of the motor...I did it in about 30 minutes my first time, could probably do it in 10 now.

Did this solve your issue? I have a P2432 that also comes right back after clearing it. Any info would be appreciated. Trying to figure out the best route to take here. Thanks.

I expect it to solve the problem but I've been reluctant to spend $100 on the sensor just to turn the CEL off, so I've been driving around with it on since. I'll get to it eventually.

Replaced this today. Waited until I got a good deal on a used sensor on ebay. Mk7 GTI uses the same sensor, albeit a newer design. The new design fits and works in the S4. Two notes - firstly I assumed for some reason that the sensor was mounted horizontally, but it's mounted seemingly horizontally, with the sensor facing inward toward the motor, with the connector coming off toward the driver side. Secondly, it was hard to tell if/when I had all 4 of the clips secured in place. I'm still not sure they're all clipped. Downside is the hose it mounts into seems to be plastic, and I think I may have cracked it when I was pushing in on the sensor. We will see if I end up with a SAI pressure too low/leak code. For now the MIL is off.
