Injector came out with my lower manifold. The consensus seems to be that you need to replaced the combustion seals. Etka shows some drawn out process with a couple of specific tools. Are the tools that important or can I jsut cut the old one off, slip the new one on and stick it back in?

The install kit is like a couple of cone ended cylinders that expand the Teflon seal so I can slip on. Can you bring the injector to the dealership / indie shop and ask them to do it for you?

I did. I forced it on the injector and once it got in the channel it sits in I tightened a zip tie around it and gingerly used some needle nose to go around repeatedly squeezing the zip tie to compress the seal. It went into the head with a light amount of tension and has been fine since.
Edit: I may have used the tip of a pen (recommended by a tech at my local dealer) to expand it gradually. Can’t recall.
