Hey guys,

I have a 2013 S4 with about 58K miles on the clock. I've noticed recently that I've been getting this strange chirping sound coming from the front of my car over the past week or so. It sounds like a chirp/squeal that get's faster are more chirpy as you give it some throttle. During a cold start there is no chirping or noise but after the engine warms up it is persistent and audible. It disappeared for a few days completely but now it's back. Taking it in to my local shop but wanted to see if anybody had the same issue or can give me a heads up on what this is. I did have the water pump replaced a few months ago. The car has been Stage 2 for about a year and a half now.

Attached a video that hopefully you can hear the sound in. I tried searching for related threads but couldn't find what I needed.

Thanks!

Why pulleys are you running? Belt size?

That sounds like one of your idler pulleys. I just replaced all of mine. Same squeak. Mine turned out to be the metal idler on the supercharger belt but I replaced all of them and the tensioners while I was in there.

Sounds exactly like mine. I replaced the belt and it went away

It's one of the pulleys. Just replace them all. They're cheap and easy to do.
