Cleaning ECS Kohlefaser Luft-Technik Intake Filter?

I couldn't find any material in the User Guide on maintenance and cleaning of the filter. However, based on my research, I am ASSuming the filter may just be an aFe Power Pro 5R oiled filter and can be cleaned using an aFe cleaning/oiling kit.

But, perhaps I'm missing some post or documentation somewhere that provides this info.

Any insight on what is recommended (or others have done) to clean and maintain the filter would be great. I've got a K&N Recharge cleaning and oil kit I could use but am holding off until I get some feedback here.

I just followed the K&N instructions.

I would imagine the K&N cleaning kit should be fine to use. I’m just happy we don’t have MAF’s. Every time I oil a filter it brings me back to my Subaru days where I would need to clean the MAF a few days after oiling.

I've been using the K&N cleaning kit on my filters.........no issues here.
