Just happened on start up this morning. No aggressive driving, or anything out of the ordinary daily drive. I don't race. Started the car to go to work, and the warning was there. Nothing on the way home last night.

For sure the car does not make any boost. Do a quick search shows this could be a simply electronic "switch" or some other minor things, but since the turbos, according to the boost gauge don't seem to be making any boost, it appears a bit more concerning.

I have a warranty at least, but not the patience for leaving my car in the shop! After a door ding over the weekend from a parking lot it hasn't been a good start to the week...

No I don't think I have excessive oil use, but I posted about if there is ANY oil use. Sounds like there is some oil use with these cars. I topped it off, it was never, low, and its still at max. So it went from max to getting close to min in 6 months. 1/2 quart use maybe.

Well...that's why I got a CPO....

I posted a thread about it last week. That's what it turned out to be. Waiting on extended warranty to come see the car

Your main problem may not be boost related. Your car is just running in limp mode (for whatever reason) so boost is being limited.
Just for reference I threw epc light last week, but no warning for 4k rpm limit. Boost gauge was reading very low and only code was low boost. I logged via vcds and it was the case. Had it towed to shop where they checked everything out. No turbo or wastegate issues and we think the actuator was getting stuck on the heat shield.
Btw, good god for engine out on cam actuator.

Deng so these cars have Turbo issues, misfire issues, suspension issues and now cam adjusters, what the hell did I get myself in to. Good luck let us know how it plays out.

Yesterday morning. Turn the car on the "do not exceed 4000 rpm " warning light on.

This morning no warning. Cars seems fine. I'd like to take the car in, but I don't feel like forking over $100 bucks just to look at it either.

Weird. Hrmmm.

Weird. Hrmmm.Mate it might be nothing. Get it tested at two places is my suggestion. I've had odd start up issues for a month and have just stopped.

Don't worry. Plenty of cars have no issues. People don't come on a forum and just randomly post about having no issues :-)

Weird. Hrmmm. The next morning mine had no epc or warning lights but the check engine light was on

Had same issue on my C6.5 and my B8, oil pressure sensor needed replaced. Find someone with vagcom, read the codes, and narrow down issue from there. In my case, $28 part, and 30 minutes of my time to replace, fun pedal back in full tilt.
