I just installed this over the weekend and I've notice the HX pump comes on even when the car has been off. It'll actually come on anytime I open a door or shut the hood. It's wierd to me that it would run like that.
I don't see how I would have hooked it up wrong since there in a wiring harness included with the kit.
Thanks

Mine does the same thing. Pretty sure I read elsewhere on here that it does for others as well.

Normal mine does it as well. My wife and I joke about it. We open the door to get something out or put something in and hear it turn on. Then we say “no car we are not leaving, it’s always so excited to go”.

My wife looks at me with that "did you spend more money on the car" look.
I have to act like it's been doing that all along I guess [:p]

you look her dead straight in to her eyes, and explain that its to cool the engine for safety purposes, for the family and our children so the car doesn't blow up after going dual pulley.

When are you going to have this talk with your wife? ;)
It's normal btw, the stock pump gets power when you unlock or open the doors it just is PWM controlled so doesn't actually cycle on.
The added pump just taps into these power lines and isn't PWM controlled, thus when it gets power it takes off.
I have mine setup to run both pumps at max when I unlock my car. It sounds like it is preparing for flight :)
