Trying to change my brakes and i'm having nothing but problems. First, the brake pads were seized to the caliper which required me to pry them off. Second, the rotor bolt is now stripped. Not sure where the torx bolt came from, I typically use philips head bolts in case I have to break them. I tried to jack the other side of my car up and the scissor jack slipped and broke. Luckily, I had blocks behind both wheels and both sides in the front are on jack stands, so the car didn't roll or anything. But now I'm stuck and I can't get the car off the jack stands because the low profile jack I have doesn't lift higher than the jack stands. Not an issue though, I'll just exchange it for a different floor jack.
Now, I need to find a replacement scissor jack for the trunk. Where can I buy one, reasonably priced? I looked on ECS and they won't be able to ship until September 2018!!!! I need one for next week. Thanks.!
Never ever ever use the deathtrap oem jack. Always use a floor jack.
The sissor jack is meant for emergency use only.

What he said. They don’t call the oe jack the widow maker for nothing. As far as a replacement, call around to your local junk yards. I’m guessing they are probably the same across the models. Then invest in a quality floor jack.

I ended up getting a low profile floor jack but that didn't raise the car up high enough to get my jack stands under it, so I might have to go back and get a different floor jack. Ended up borrowing my father in law's scissor jack from his car to get my car off the stands. I had the hardest time doing the brakes today for some reason. When I had my wife's Honda Pilot, I could get all 4 done in about an hour to an hour and a half. It took me nearly 5 hours to get the fronts done. I still have the rear to do tomorrow. My FIL says I had enough meat left on the rotors that I didn't have to change them, but I changed them anyway. Sliced my index finger open pretty good when putting the bracket on the driver side caliper. Jacked my hand up pretty decent too hitting the control arm when the breaker bar I was using slipped off the bolt I was trying to break. This has to be the worst experience I've had so far doing brake jobs. It almost makes me want to just pay the $$$ to a garage and have them do it pain and worry free. Almost....
I ended up getting an OEM scissor jack replacement at Parts.com for $86 shipped.

Like you said, invest in a quality low profile jack.
