2013 B8.5 MMI music info missing?

When I stream via bluetooth, the playtime syncs but all the other info is blank. Is there a setting I have wrong? I also noticed on other MMI's there is cover art for the songs, does our car have that or is it dependant on what package the car has?

this happens on my '14 due to the android updates on my phone. i have to restart my phone and the music info returns to mmi screen with pandora or soundcloud. i haven't connected my usb for music in a while but cover art always worked for me.
