Electronic parking brake warning on dash, but it still works fine

Had this issue for a good year or so now but figured it's time to try and figure out the cause.

The warning comes up approx 5-10 seconds when I turn the ignition on, whether or not I've disengaged the parking brake yet.
Both the motors work on the callipers and they hold the car find. Any ideas what might be causing it? One possible theory I have is voltage drop due to my air ride also turning on but no idea how to combat this if that is causing it, anyone else running air had a similar problem?

Check your brake fluid level. Might be low.

Maybe try the ABS wheel speed sensors. I replaced all of mines recently as was getting the same message along with a few others (headlight warning, parkbrake malfunction). It resolved the issue.
Have you performed a scan to see if any codes are present?

Without having a VCDS scan, it could be any number of things. Have you tried engaging it when you’re parked? Does the lever continuously blink or stays solid red once the epb finishes extending the piston.
Jack the rear up and pull rear wheels off. Spray some brake cleaner & Inspect both epb motors and electric cables for any signs of damage. If it looks ok, check the cable connection to the epb servo. Try unplugging, clean, and reseed them to ensure they hadn’t somehow loosened.

After all that, try enabling the epb and listen if either side is possibly not working. Then try releasing them and recheck. If everything looks good, then yould have to look further upstream for a possible electrical short. This is where a Ross-tech cable comes in so handy so if you don’t have one, either get one or find someone local who does. It’ll save you time/energy trying to sort it out as to possible cause.
** Of note: our epb system is run via a control module. Keep in mind that said module is also responsible for a couple other things so should the module itself or one of the other things it’s regulating is the problem, then it may not even directly be an epb issue. That’s why an autoscan is key.

The brake itself functions as expected, both motors work and hold the car fine, solid red light on the leaver when the brake is on, no light when it's off.
Managed to scan it with Carista and it came back with parking brake: 00576 terminal 15

If Carista uses the same coding reference as Ross-Tech, then your issue might be here:

Were there any other codes present, even if unrelated? Is anything else electrical wise affected?

Only other fault that came up was

Infotainment system
03276 testing management software version

Odd.

So it’s pointing to a possible electrical short. Other thing you can check is your fuses. Beyond that, you might have to take it in for a thorough look see.
