I am sure I will get a lot of hate but has anyone deleted their ABS or heard of it being done? I am working on a project and I want to delete my ABS.

Just unplug a wheel speed sensor and the ABS, traction control, and stability control will be disabled.

Have you tried it before? Does it put the car into limp mode at all?

yea, it should throw engine codes and transmission and it will not move.

I am trying to disable ABS because we are converting the car to RWD. I know it might be laughable but any help is appreciated. I wonder if there is a way to make it so there is no ABS and the car won't be in limp mode.

I would pull the pump motor fuse and you should be good to go. You will get error codes but it should be ok and abs will be disabled. I believe you will still need the module powered since that is where you get wheel speed and vehicle speed from.

Depending, you might have to unplug, then wire some type of resistor jumping the contacts so the car thinks it's still plugged in and won't throw codes.

This won't work. It sends messages over the CAN network. If you want vehicle speed you will need the module. You can remove it all together but you will need to put jumpers in for the CAN network to not take down the network.

Do you know how I would be able to go about this? I don't really care about vehicle speed since I will have GPS speedometer.

In my b7, I had a steering angle sensor go out and it caused ABS and ESC to stop working but the car drove fine. Maybe try something like this?

I would first try to yank all the ABS fuses and see how the car acts. I would only do this if you have access to vag com for testing. The only thing i could see that might be an issue would be the red brake light coming on. But if your not to worried about that then your fine.
Do you want to remove the ABS block and everything from the car?

If I could yes. Then I’ll run a bias valve and sell the ABS control module.
I want to be able to lock the brakes up (drift car build).
