In Atlanta and I got the sparkly smoke out the back. I'm on a stage II Chipwerke and pulley. I have to drive back to Mississippi with the family in the car tomorrow.

Will I make it?

This couldn't have happened at a more challenging time. I leave the country for 7 weeks at the end of this coming week. Good news is that I get plenty of time to plan. Bad news is that I don't have time to do anything about this until I get back. Almost thinking of getting a rental car for the week.

Are the aftermarket cats holding up? I had yet to purchase an exhaust for my car. Still thinking, "no."

She somehow knew I've been looking at 911s...

Is the car misfiring ? Did the cat blow completely ? Test pipe is one option .

You should be fine driving home but I'd drive conservatively.

I've got the crust on one side on the exhaust tips. The car isn't using oil. And there's no oil in the coolant. I finally got the CEL last night. I thought I'd seen smoke before but it must be platinum dust.

Are any of the after market cats holding up?

I'll be going with Evans hfc's when mine give up. They seem to have the best reviews of anything out there.

About 20k miles. But I'm over 122k miles now. I had a CPO but didn't put the CW on until I was out of CPO. I didn't want to risk the CPO even a little.

Made it back to MS watch the water and oil temps the whole time. But to put the VCDS cable on.

Being tune or not isnt the real problem. The problem is bad design of Audi , to damn close to the engine . Yes having the car tune will push the failure to occur sooner . I had my Driverside Cat blown at 46k , it was replaced under warranty ( I wasn’t tuned at ) .
And as for the OP , you be fine driving that car around , misfires and EPC is the worst that could happens . Be easy on it while you choose with the route u want to go with . Personally , I went with test pipes and I’m extremely happy with them ( except the noise ) . Some of us have gone with hollow OEM Cats or catted test pipes .
