How hard is it to change the control arms and tie rod ends on the a6..the kit is like $500 vs the dealer doing it.

dealer just got back to me and my warrantys gonna cover the upper and lower control arms and all the tie rods and ends so it'll only cost me 550 so i guess im just gonna let them do the work for me for that price

i still think its too much for that job, to do that job all you need to do is loosen up 5 bolts on each side and after you done , get the wheel alighment and you are done. But its totaly your call . Good luck.

warranty only covered the control arms i had to pay my warranty deductable and for the tie rod ends....update though, just got the car back and the only way to describe how well it drives now is amazing, its 100x better than before. They showed me the alignment specs before and after and the front toe specs were almost 1.6degrees off so that would explain the horrible gas mileage i've been getting.

Wow, 1.6 degrees is crazy. Did they get the camber right?? With Audi's the subframe has to be adjusted to change it, and a lot of places cheat it.
