wrx if it not sti its piece of shit:)
i took 528i like 4 times, lexus 350is from the start , 740i sport from the start but got smoked by supercharged s2000:(
Mustangs GT's (not the last model) and Lincoln Mark 8(w/ cobra engine) i can take from start and rolling...and its not chiped yet.
ps.will need new clutch soon :)

I was wondering about mustang GT today :)

yes it was stock WRX with turbo
I have no problem with my friends 5spd 528 (stock)
my other friend has asked me a few times to race his "moded" 3-series (4dr, maybe 328?) 5spd chipped, intake, exhaust

I'd love to chip mine, but I don't know how long I'll keep it for, if I was sure I'd get modding

I think chip and custom exhaust are easy to do, maybe intake and call it a day

1)Moded 328? i think you can try, it worth to know anyway, our cars aren't that slow too ;)
2)chip+exhaust+intake......i'm with you on this one

Yeah 328 should be no problem, they're like 193hp stock.

took out a new 745 Bimmer from red light all the way to about 65, we had to slow down...
Was pretty tighht a first though...

Hey Gigi, aren't u chipped?
-----
745 is hell of a car. Very fast for its weight.
Be careful with 545 tho :)
----
smoked 540i Auto from the red light...auto and stick do not match at all...he was not slow BUT i got faster car , hahaha
----
Its only illegal if you' get caught :)

Yes, I have the APR chip, but have the tiptronic tranny, wished I had the manual... The tip is tricky to launch perfectly wit the chip.... The tranny really limits the car... I think so anyway.
I thought this 745 was really fast for such a heavy car.. How many horses does it have?

I heard the 545 is mean!!!

yesterday played around with a Camaro, might have been a V8, but it had loud pipes and everything

I was kind of moving fast through traffic on the regular road, speed limit of 45, and he just followed me everywhere I went, once traffic cleared, he had hard time keeping up

we drove for 5 mnts with window open just talking, first thing I heard him say is "damn your car is fast"

...i hear that every time....hahahha, its not even the car, its Driver.

Hi Roman A6, what do U drive? 2.7T? Stock? modded?
Camaro V8 is actually not as fast as I thought, I was surprised when I raced one with my old 86 911 Targa.

Many are surprised by how fast our A6 2.7T are...

Kievskiy
02-06-2006, 02:08 PM
he has the same car as i have i think its even the same color....
2.7T stick. i hope i'm not wrong....

yep
and no mods, just a B&M short shifter

Kievskiy
02-06-2006, 07:34 PM
stick shift is za sheet.... :)
yesterday i raced with 2.7T Tip(stock), from what i saw stick probably has better gear ratio....i got him by 1 car right from the start and them slowly very slowly it became 2 cars and then we stop....he probably did not use Manual mode?? dont know , but it was fun :)

i'm trying ti find stock b5 s4 to race with, want to see the difference.

Gigi
02-07-2006, 06:50 AM
I think there's about a 1/2 second diff in 0-60 times b/w manual and auto 2.7t.

S4 is about 300 lbs lighter so a little quicker and more nimble. A lot has to do with the driver though:)

The top is a little tricky to launch right or perfect from a standstill.
I hear the GIAC X helps in Tiptronic mode.

RomanA6
02-07-2006, 01:23 PM
whats better APR or GIAC for manual?

Kievskiy
02-07-2006, 01:43 PM
Giac, that's like 90% of people that i talked to, told me, but there are many threads about that on the forum and they always arguing.....i want Giac ...
-----
Gigi , there is the giac chip for Tip tranny...are u talking about that?

Gigi
02-07-2006, 03:16 PM
YEs - GIAC X refers to GIAC chip for Tip Tranny. Wish I ahd the manual like you now

Kievskiy

i would say sell or trade your car, but yours is 04 and there is not alot A6s 27t with stick, lets say a few

RomanA6
02-07-2006, 04:27 PM
kievsky, whats your name? you already have APR pipe?

Kievskiy
02-07-2006, 08:54 PM
:) Yeah i got it but i dont have time to put it, maybe 2morrow, i want to put it before chip.

Andrey

Gigi

Andrey, where r u from?

Let m eknow how easy it is to put in, it is one of my next upgrade.

I would not try to trade, it took me for ever to find this one, could not find a stick aroudn here, or the color or mileage or something was wrong....
PLus I just spent a few G's on this car! I just hope the GIAC tranny chip helps! :)

originaly from Ukraine, but now im in San Francisco.....
---
From the manual that comes with the bipipe looks very easy, the same feeling i had when i looked under the hood, all i need to do is take off the headlights, other then that all work is in engine bay...i'm waiting for my day off so i can start in the morning....i'm comingfrom work at 730pm, so i dont really want to start, plus i parking outside for couple days, my garage is been painting.....but i'll try to do a write-up on the install.
----
wow, this thread is the most living thread on A6 forum....hahaha

RomanA6
02-08-2006, 02:58 PM
see, I thought of getting an intake from AWE, then a set if DV's - forge or something, the bipipe thing, chip, exhaust - and done

I know chip is the best investment, if oyu don't have a short shifter yet - I really suggest you get one

nice to meet you :D

I can get out about 400 miles on the full gas tank - normal? w/o cruise control

This morning, I raced with one of those new M45,, VERY nice rides, but I was pulling away slowly!
Go APR! Gotta love those 2.7T engines!
MY car is debadged, the guy was unsure what he was racing. I let him pass me and he gave me the thumbs up! :)

How's the bipipe working 4 u?

nice kill[:p]
well, bipipe isnt working 4 me yet...still no time, i have day off 15th will do it, i hope...
You know i'm still thinking about chiping my car, i said before that i wanted Giac cause its agressive,[headbang] well, talk to people and now i guess i'll go APR , i have a lot of miles, and i got the feedbacks that APR is more "turbo friendly" ->less damage for turbos->longer live the king [drive] ..plus my driving is waaaaaay agressive[a6] , i want to keep my turbos spinning ->APR vs Giac->60/40[:p] [up]
