i'm about to order one of these from CLICK (http://www.carbonfiberhoods.net/product_info.php/manufacturers_id/162/products_id/2053) and the description says "includes authentic "Seibon" badge". Where is this badge located on the hood? is it big? or is it separate and i can put it on if wanted?

I bought mine from them - I assume the badge is on the underside of the hood - I havent gotten the hood yet though.

VIS has thier badge on the underside of the hood too.

Buy it.

Do it.

Shipping agencys charge more for residential shipping.

If you have it shipped to a business (body shop) they charge less.

Seibon > VIS

No, you ADD 25 dollars to the shipping price for residential...........

So it would be

$85 shipping
+
$25 for residental addresses

$110 shipping total

If you look at the price of the hood though , they add the residential surchage to the hood NOT to shipping.

Took me a while but it works out all the same.

The shipping is 85 flat.

The hood is iether 490 (with residential) or 465 to commercial.

regardless, it's an awsome deal and i heard Seibon is supposed to be better than VIS as well...

Also, the hoods on eBay i heard have defects. Not sure on the validity of that statment since i dont know or heard of anyone that bought one from eBay, but i could see it being true.

Haha!

Ill let you know when I get mine and Ill put up some pics.

I just dont know if I am going to have a body shop do it or if I'll do it myself.

I dont want to F up the hood pins, because I am good at doing that.

How are you going to install it?

its possible i might get one. i guss its fairly easy to install they even say is. they only recommend a body shop to install wich means do it yourself way cheaper.

i have no idea, but i doubt it can be that expensive.

Who here knows an approximate price?

I just installed my VIS CF hood, and had a body shop drill for my washers and hoodpins as I get too nervous about it on my own car :) Hood pins were about 35 bux for good sparco units, there are cheaper but I wanted something with a sliding pin as opposed to a cotter pin design which is a little cheaper. I am using my stock prop hydraulic and I guess thats a bad idea because of the light weight hood it doesnt keep the hood down tight unless the pins are locked as well.

Man I sure wish someone would randomly beat my hood in with a hammer (without touching any other part of my car). I'd love to have a "free" CF hood :).

BTW, I'm not very familiar with hood pins. All I've ever seen were the cotter pin type. Do they make pins that are less noticeable, or dare I say less ricey?

Hour's worth of labor. So in the area of 70-100 bucks.
