deepsticks different between APB and BEL?

Last year replaced APB with BEL, used BEL come without dipstick, so put it my old one from APB. Noticed engine is pretty noisy, like it is low on oil, unless dipstick shows level at very top, or even tiny notch above MAX..
Does it make any sense?

They should be the same part number for all 2.7 versions...

deepstick might be the same but it is not a given that the tube itself is the same length between APB and BEL...

I checked and the same 078115609R is specced for APB and BEL.
