E39 BMW M5 doesn't have in dash cd player?????

I've been researching the 2000-2003 M5's to hopefully get for next car. I've been looking at the 2000 model because it's the most affordable but it doesn't have an in dash cd player???!!! Just an old school changer in the trunk. Does the 2001 have an in dash cd player or is the Nav/radio interchangable with a newer model that has a cd player?

do your looking at an E36 M3, a WRX, and an E39 M5? quite wide range of cars there.

IIRC, there wasn't a change for an in dash unit and it remained in the trunk, but I know the Navi screens were made bigger. Here is a good forum, and a link to a thread discussing basics:

Well I started off looking at the M3 and WRX but then I got sidetracked and am now looking at the M5. It's probably going to be out of my price range but it get's me excited. [:p]
