If she gave that ultimatum she is not a “keeper.” Let the wife go!

Get rid of the TT or the A5.

You can always buy a Q3 with the purses hook, that will make her smile! Lol [emoji23]

Purses hook? You mean coinless purse. Take a stand and kick the can down the road! Nut up! Tell her it was in the brochure when she said “I do” on your wedding day. If you fold then this is just the beginning.

Get rid of the C5.He's in the same boat as I am with my c5... Lots of money invested and the damn cars are worth next to nothing, especially a 2.8, even if it is supercharged.

I would get rid of all the old stuff (8N, C5, 8T) and replace it with one more modern equivalent.

23 years and going strong, brother. Of course I don’t have a dozen cars in my garage, either.

Sent from my XT1635-02 using TapatalkIf its a 2.8 then there's really no reason to keep it. He already has an s7 and a8 in the big body luxury cruiser category. I thought it looked like a rs6 though.

IMO c5 sedan rear end is one of the ugliest early model Audi butts. Lol

Gotta disagree with you. The C5 RS6 had a great booty. The short over hangs on the bumpers in conjunction with the trunk spoiler looked amazing imho.

All other C5's the long bumpers looked horrible though.

How about get rid of all for an RS7?
Or get rid of everything, except A7 and get TTRS

Just curious....what does her closet look like? I would bet that one of the cars "has to go" because there are plans for a new custom closet....

Honestly agree with the wife, I see no point in owning all those cars specifically...at least diversify if you're "allowed" 5 cars..

TT and A5 should've been gone long ago!

Not just any 2.8. I do believe he has a S/C on there so a unique C5 for sure plus all the other upgrades he's done.

Yeah but it's a 2.8 and there's no aftermarket support remaining for that build (read: very little and mostly limited to used parts). If something goes wrong, it's done and back to stock. Part it out or sell it whole while you still can. Lol

I already replied, but wanted to expand.

Keep the A7 because that is obviously your baby.

Keep the TT to have a fun little open air car.

Keep the A8 if you need it for driving around with fellow colleagues and/or clients. Otherwise scrap it too.

Get rid of all else.

If it was a collection of rare and unique cars it would make it easy to say keep them all, but while everything you have is very nice the overlap of what they are and do is quite redundant.

With the extra freed up spots by something really cool [evilsmile]

Rather than tell you specifically which car to get rid of, I would just say that looking at your stable, there is way too much overlap in the functionality of your cars. You have 3 large sedans which all basically do the same thing. And you have a coupe and convertible which also basically do the same thing.

The first thing I would do is to determine how much you love owning a convertible. That is one decision point. After that, I think you can do with just 2 cars....One larger 4 door sedan, and either a coupe or convertible. If you want 3 cars, have a convertible, a sedan, and an SUV.

If I were in your shoes, I would get rid of all 5 cars, and get an RS7 and a TTS convertible -both, new or used depending on your budget (assuming that you want to stay all-Audi). This would give you newer cars with all the functionality of your current 5 cars. Or depending on your budget, you could get an R8 spyder in place of the TT. Again, new or used.

Yep !! A couple of new ones should suffice..and one which she can drive.....like a TTS convert

So I have talked with A6sport a few times in threads and messaging. I will say this. He enjoys crafting Audi to make ultimate examples of the model. Building not buying , and hunting for the rare part. Anyone can write a check or finance a cool car.

Keep them all, or since that’s not feasible with marital restrictions. Sell the least modified of the group. My guess is the A5.

He won’t give up the C5, because it only has value to him. Never a classic or special car, but he spent a lot of time effort and love to mold it into a very nice A6. The TT is modern classic and will slowly turn into a classic, like a mk1 gti OT something where most are trashed and clean cars are hard to find.

The A7 has become a beautiful project that is inspirational. It is not just an A7. But the A7,S7,RS7 cars attract a certain attention where as the A8 is just a big audi great for golf and commuting.

So that’s my 2 cents, I have an A7 that is very nice, but often we drive the Q5 since it is more pedestrian. And the B5 doesn’t r leave the garage. It is my modding toy and excuse to wrench. New reliable Audi doesn’t make garage time a chore, so having a B5 S4 is like his TT and C5. Something to work on but hardly drive.

Actually not that great for golf really. Boot/trunk on the D4 is relatively small for the segment, and a lot smaller than its predecessor (the D3).

Why own any car if you don't want to drive it? I mean that is its whole point of existence. Even if a pure pleasure vehicle, its sole purpose is still to be driven. So drive it only on nice days and just for fun, but what is the point of having it sit in the garage to be worked on if it is never driven. Why work on it then? For what purpose?

If an older car gives something in the way of the driving experience, then by all means keep it, but the cars in question here are not such cars. They are all just basic transportation, except the TT which has been so improved over the years that it is a no brainer IMO.

Now.....a B7 RS4.....that is a car worth keeping because the driving experience is not duplicated by anything since.
