Hey guys,
Going to be placing an order for wheels shortly for my S6. Going with 20x9.5 unless someone talks me into 20x9. Question is what offset? I don’t plan on slamming it, and I don’t want anything sticking past the fenders. Just a nice aggressive look without going to extreme. Opinions? Going custom made, so any offset is game.

I have 21x9.5 ET40. If I am slammed, I could get 10mm spacer for fronts and 5mm spacer for the rears. But if I am moderately lowered, I think this set up is perfect. For 9.5, ET35~40 would be ideal.
I do not want “flushed” look so both tires and wheels are inside of fenders.

Also if you are going with 9.5, then you should get 265 tires instad of 255 to avoide too much “strech”.
Sorry to hijack somewhat but I have a similar question for the C7.5 a7 on oem sport springs. I've already purchased them and I'm waiting for summer time to put them on but I'm really nervous that I made a very expensive mistake. Will 20x9 ET 25 fit without rubbing or associated issues? Thanks in advance!

you are perfectly fine with OEM sports suspension.

the setup would be questionable for A6/S6 but for A7/S7 should be ok. If your car is S7, I would worry about the caliper clearance but since you have A7, it should be ok but I would double check with other members who have A7s.
20x9.5 ET 37-40 with 265/35/20 tires will work nicely. 20x9 ET35 with the same tires will also work nicely. I have them both.

I can also vouch for the 20x9 et 35. I have them on my S6 C7.5 with the 265/35r20 tyres. for me they are spot on. I did have a test fit of a 255/35r20 tyre on first and I did not like how narrow the tyre was on the rim, no protection at all for the rim and far too stretched looking for my liking.
