I have searched many threads trying to get an answer on which spring combination makes the most subtle drop on an A7 with sports suspension. I am going for an OEM plus look/ride height.

It seems a lot use H&R but older versions seems to drop very low (although not sure if those are non Sport Suspension vehicles). Is there a new version of the H&R? Does Eibach give a more subtle drop?

I guess my car is already 10mm lower from what I understand than non Sport Suspension version. Only looking for an additonal .75" - 1.00".

Can someone with A7 with sports suspension chime in on what springs they are using and how much of a drop they are getting. I was also comsidering KW H.A.S which has mixed info on website and other vendors. KW site says 1.5" min others say you can make 0.6" min??

H&R are about only ~.5" lower going from sport suspension. KW HAS are known for sagging issues in the rear.

Any rubbing up front with your setup? I assume you have sport suspension?

Going to be putting on some SQ5 21's also on an A7

I have heard good things on hear with the Eibach springs, sounds like better comfort and maybe performance. Also from reading on hear it’s best to replace the shocks also. I might be interested in your sport springs if they fit a c7 a6.

Post up pics. I’m going straight coil overs so I can control drop and not worry about shocks going too fast with he springs. I can post pics after they are installed which will be tomorrow morning! [emoji1377] can’t wait.

Spend the extra money and go with ST Coilovers. I have them on my A7 and they give a similar ride quality to stock with a nice amount of adjustability to lower without rubbing.

The small savings you get with springs could come at the cost of blown shocks/struts.

I can assure you after you get the springs installed you’re going to wish you had coilovers.

Just my 2cents...

Anyone know what's needed to go from standard to sport suspension? I'm sure its not just the springs...

Springs, shocks, and sway bars.

The st-x coil over seems cheaper than eibach if your buying b8 struts. Did you come from non-sport suspension and the ride quality is similar? How is the performance? How long have you had them? Any insight would be helpful, I was leaning towards eibach because it was a milder drop.

I’m not sure what you mean by purchasing “b8 struts”, the system I purchased was a full coilovers system to include all parts as a fully assembled package.

I have an A7 Prestige that came with the sline package so I did have the sport suspension. The ride quality is very similar to stock, now I’m just about 2” lower. I also have the ECS flush mount kit w/spacers for the stock 20” rims and the only time I rub is when I have someone in the back seat over 210 lbs and it’s very slight only in tight corners

I’ve had this set up for about 6 months and feel like for the price and quality (they are a sister company to KW) this system can’t be beat for a C7.

From a performance perspective, you’re really limited due to the overall weight of the car. I’m sure you could get a stiff spring rate that would make a big difference in improved cornering but then you lose the relative comfort during daily drive. And, TBH this car isn’t really meant for canyon carving....

Just give them you CC number, you won’t regret it.....

Hope this helps-
