-Port and Polished exhaust manifold (thanks Jon, at GOTPNP)

-Rebuilt Rack and Pinion installed
-Seidl Front bumper with sides partially shaved
-Seidl Rear bumper with sides shaved

Hey chadwix, How's the fitment of the seidl rear? I really like it without the vents, great job!

Seidl rear fits well but with ALOT of prep work. The bumper is actually euro spec so it's shorter. The internals of an OEM rear bumper were gutted so that the sides would lock in and custom brackets were made so that it would attach to the reinforcement.

Thanks man. The BBK cost about 1G to gather parts. Decent savings if you have patience for it.

Thanks alot. I was very close to adding a CF hood too but decided I was spending way too much money. The roof spoiler is a 2nd generation lip spoiler which I found on ebay. It is wider and taller. I sliced the sides and had it painted. The mesh is the expanded steel mesh found at home depot. The fogs are the Hella Micro DE fogs. I got the fogs a long time ago so I don't remember where I bought them but they are pretty easy to find.

Thanks for the compliments everyone.

I wish I had the time for it but unfortunately no. I am very pleased with the work my shop did though.

Wow that came out great. Where did you get the kit from? good job seeing your car has me thinking now maybe I should scrap the idea about CFing my roof and just paint it black instead. I don't know yet I already got the CF material to do my roof though.

Thanks. The kit originally came from Estrictlyforeign but I bought the pieces from a former S4 owner from Audiworld several months back. I thought about CFing my roof too but I just decided that I'd try black and see if I like it. I like it alot but I would definitely like to see your CFed rood when you do it. I say go for it!

Damn Chad, I've been hearing rumors about your car. I guess what I heard was true... looks freaking nice dude! especially what everyone has said about the rear, nicely one..

that seidl front has me thinking...

chadwix00
01-19-2006, 12:32 AM
Thanks Ian! Yeah man, things have been under wraps pretty much since that huge meet a while back. Get the seidl!!! I like it alot. I really debated about waiting and getting the OEM RS4 but the cost of the bumper, paint, and especially the prep work of getting it to fit was too much for me.

everything is good but i like your old side skirts more to go with this kit.

chadwix00
01-19-2006, 01:13 AM
Yeah it was tough making the call to remove my old skirts since I liked them alot. The one big factor was when I measured the Seidl and found out it sat 1 1/2 inches higher than the Reiger. Since my JMS reps were perfectly flush with my Reiger, I thought it wouldn't match up so I opted for the S4 sides for now. I'm thinking about completing the kit and getting the Seidl sides (OEM RS4 reps) now that I know how everything works with each other.

Shave it and keep it! I'd be depressed to see you get something else considering your car was a bit of my inspiration. I looked at your RS4 widebody progression so many times...correction, too many times. Haha. Now if you went OEM RS4 rear, that'd be pretty darn sweet too.

So the tables turn and now you offer me inspiration. [:D]

After seeing yours with a proper exhaust tips (still got to do mine) it looks great. So some shaving is now on some things to do.

I have to say some well thought out ideas their and get the sides.

It's sold now to a guy here in the UK for his S4 but RS4 bumbers are quite cheap new now about $600.

Very good job on the side skirts! I assume it's because you have the S4 lower door trim. How difficult was that to install? Also, I know you said your roof spoiler is actually a lip spoiler is it the one they sell on Lltek? Car looks amazing!

yoogene83
01-19-2006, 07:19 AM
looks stupendous chad. come february we're taking the cars on a photoshoot!

Rezi, you getting your roof painted black yet? haha

chadwix00
01-19-2006, 08:16 AM
Rezi, I was up real late because I was just excited. Haha. Thankfully I wasn't late to work.

juju4uofa, thanks. Install was straight forward because I did it once before (I sold my previous S4 sides and got JMS replicas). The only two things I did differently was remove the black trim at the bottom which allowed the S4 skirts to fit further in and flush with the S4 trim. Actually, if I didn't do that, the S4 lower trim would hit the skirts and bulge out. Second, I used S4 door trim instead of cutting my A4 trim, of which I did a terrible job. Haha.

The lip spoiler is one I only found on ebay and was skeptical to buy but I said what the hell and bought it anyways. It's thicker, wider, and taller which is exactly what I wanted for the roof. I had to custom cut it to fit since it was meant for the trunk.

Yoogene, thanks man. Can't wait for you to roll down and maybe all three of us could do a fun shoot. I need to buy a new camera, hah. Good times to come.

Thanks! Just the front bumper and it fit's well. The only small issue is the area right below the front hood grille where it pops up a tad. I didn't even notice it until I opened the hood.

What mesh is that? Home depot? Or did it come with the bumper? I think i like the Seidl bumper better than the reiger. Looks cleaner and it isn't so low.

Thanks for the kind words everyone.

tkarwin, you are correct about the home depot mesh.

ooa4oo, I bought the 'roof' spoiler on ebay. It is a second generation m3 lip meant for the trunk. I cut it to fit the window and had it painted and mounted.

BLUEisFASTER, I thought about tinting the tails but I really like the way it looks now and probably won't change it unless I get bored, haha.
