Does anyone have knowledge about this car? I'm putting my S4 in storage soon, and will need something else.

I had one for a while a few years ago. Great car, very rare and semi-fun. That being said, it was an absolute maintenance nightmare. I'd steer clear if you're looking for a winter car. A generic 1.8T Passat would do the trick just fine.

Is the V6 Passat okay?

Assuming B5/B5.5, the 2.8V6 burns a bit of oil but is one of the smoothest 190HP VAG motor of yesteryears.

If you are looking at 2006+ the 3.6 VR6 is a stout 270 HP motor but no idea on maintenance. Others will chime in.

If you’re looking at a 3.6, stay away from the 06-07 with extremely low mileage (below 60k). They may seem like a good deal but they are ticking time bombs.

Some of those engines are still blowing up.

Is the 2.0L 4-cylinder okay?
