Radio code with vin #?

Hey Vincenzo
Can you pull the radio code for my car with just the vin#?
I'm being told by the dealer, that they need the radios serial #?
It's no where in my manual either.

In order for me to retrieve the radio code for you I need the full VIN as well as the radio serial code. If it's not located in your manual, the serial code will usually be on the back of the radio itself meaning that you will have to remove it from the console. The serial code is 14 characters long, and always begins with "AUZ". Let me know if you have any follow up questions.

It does vary depending on model and model year. The majority of cars that require a radio code were A3/A4/A6/TT models in the ranging from MY 1990-2007 with certain exceptions. The newer models do not have require codes however.
