Best RS4 Style grill?

Hit a Christmas tree in the road last night. Grill needs replacing, I want the RS4 style grill. I know ECS makes one, is that the one to get or is there a higher quality one out there? Thanks much in advance for your help.

I don't like the look of the ring holder. no mesh behind it, there will be gaping holes between the rings.

I do. Fitment is great and the quality of the grill is awesome! Also, the rings on it are perfect, they don't stand out far like a pig nose like a lot of the other RS grills do. Recommend 100%

everything is going to be personal preference so this thread of best style grille is like asking whats the best way to cook a steak..

personally i like the look with the quattro written on the bottom and obviously Audi did too because until recently you could only getting on the higher end models

It's mounted in the grill rather than on top of it and comes all in one piece. It also comes with a license plate mount like the others but you should also plastidip/vinyl your crash bar

Got mine off Amazon for $150 if I remember correct.. They had it for B8 & 8.5. Doesn’t come with the S4 badge, I took that from my factory grill and put it on.

All of this, except I don't understand why you want to put Quattro across the front of an S model. They don't make FWD S models. So to me, it's no different than putting "Powered by Audi" in vinyl across the windshied, but as you said, it's subjective.

However, I don't see 3" tall 12" wide "MSPORT" or "AMG" across the front of other manufacturer's grills that happen outsell Audi. And if I were in the market for an RS6, it would be removed after purchase.

Lol it’s not.. I removed the crash bar.. I don’t daily drive the car, sees the road usually to log, and then a couple days out of the month to the track.
Every now and then I do take it out at night or weekend.

I'm in the same boat. I'm buying my first audi this spring and the grill is one of the FIRST things I'm doing to the car of many mods.. Gonna be my everyday but I only drive 10 miles a day to and from work. Summer time on weekends is when she will see more road...

Appreciate it! Crash bar is held in by 4 bolts, 2 on each side under headlights. Removed crash bar and relocated the horns since they are mounted to the ends of the crash bar.

Wouldn’t recommend for daily drivers.

BUT if you are a driver who pays attention on the road you will be able to avoid a front end collision. And before everyone jumps on me yes things COULD happen that can not be avoided. I don't want to turn this into a pissing match. I'm just saying. To put that type of intercooler in the front with the crash bar blocking it is pointless for show quality. And also the crash bar will block air flow from coming in? I'm not one for performance without show. Also I don't think I would do that much to my car when I get it to have the absolute must need for it.. For track it is awesome.

Your doing at least 5x what you would do on the street. I don't think I would want to survive a crash at 130-150...

There is a clip that has the RS4 logo on it. Just replace it with your stock S4 badge. I had to shim it with some folded paper (really folded tight) to get it to be even with the new clip.

Most of them are just hot glued in, I used a heat gun on low and pulled them out cleanly on mine. Others have cut them out with a Dremel.

User stoncecarbon2009 is pretty good & price similar to Ali. I would find that if you have an issue with the grille, it would be easier and quicker to go through eBay than Aliexpress for a replacement. These grilles come from China anyway

I got mine off a guy on IG, I’m pretty sure it’s a Ali special, but whatever, I like it, it looks good and it fit well except for 2 tabs that needed to be snipped. I went with a chrome surround since I’m digging all the chrome trim in my Ice Metallic and the mesh is gloss black like my lip and spoiler.

Old thread I know, but this looks great and the route I'm going this spring for my Sepang. Looking on Ebay, I see it comes with an RS4 logo, where did you get the S4 logo? My current logo is just an S (no idea what happened to the 4, prior to my ownership), so using the original isn't really an option.
