Looking for news on this new UTR from Audi? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bBsvXam2yR0

I like the clean look, its Audi approved and portable. It's being offered in Australia and now Europe. Won't be long before it's available here.

Does anyone have any experience with the installation and would care to comment?

Thanks in advance.

Looks pretty cool, but it seems that it might be the Audi Universal Discoverable Police Recorder. Not sure I'd want that much connectivity/features.

It's about as clean look as any dash cam when professionally installed. Maybe except rear module which looks wireless. I looked into that option briefly and decided to go with BlackVue DR750S-2CH instead.
UTR comes with 8 GB memory card and there is no information if it supports bigger capacities. 8 GB is good for only about 30 min driving.

I'd like this option. I wanted blackvue, but in TX the heat disables and damages a lot of them :(

Can you elaborate? I was considering this option.

google blackvue and overheating. many of them just die. I bought one and returned it after reading all this info about them.

There are a few available from Ebay, all coming from England.
I think the price may be lower when (and if) offered by Audi in USA.
Does the kit include harness for seamless install?
Also, there is a front-only kit, and front and rear kit.
Another question: I am not a lawyer, so - can recording from your dash cam be used as an evidence against you without your consent?

If you do something stupid, make sure there's no evidence to be used. Take out and destroy the SD card.

I doubt it unless you run over a ped and kill them, the 5th amendment should possibly cover it. But if you're worried about it being used against you, you'd already have a lawyer on retainer at that point.

I have a friend running it without a problem. I didn't wanna spend that much so I went with Mobius X2 after swapping the battery out for a super capacitor. Has been working great!

Doesn't look like you can get the app on a US based iphone or android.
