2013 S6 - rear shocks leaking .....replacement costs/options?

Considering purchasing a 2013 S6 from used car dealer (more or less audi specialist) w/ ~ 102,000 miles. Took it to my mechanic, they showed me both rear shocks were leaking. Dealer agrees they're leaking, but not throwing codes (?) or affecting ride. They are looking whether they want to replace or not, and with what. I'm interested in the car but would like to know what this involves/would cost. Carfax.com maintenance cost sections seems to indicate about an $1800-$2000 cost to do this..... any thoughts? Thanks.
