Hi all,

A little info about myself:

My name's Ashton. I'm 22 and I'm studying Mechanical Engineering with an Aerospace concentration at UConn. I graduated from my local community college with an Associates of Science in Engineering Science, and I'm working at UTC Collins Aerospace as a Manufacturing Operations Engineer while I finish up my Bachelor's.

I just moved out of my parents' house in May, and my budget isn't the biggest, so progress on here may be slow at times. The majority of my mods are whatever deals I can find on parts on various online sites, so long as they fit into my vision for my car.

I've been on here for the last couple years posting misc pictures of my cars occasionally, and I feel like it's high time to kick of my own build thread.

As some of you may be aware, prior to my current Red B7, I owned a Quartz B7 A4 (sadly automatic) for nearly three years before it met its end this past January due to an unfortunate cam follower failure prior to my ownership that destroyed my head and oil pump over time. Instead of fixing her up, I cut my losses and purchased a different car in a color I prefer and, most importantly, had a proper transmission. It had some work and modifications (namely a K04 turbo upgrade, along with supporting mods) done to it prior to the time of my purchase which was an additional plus (unfortunately this work wasn't all done up to snuff and has caused me some headaches since).

Here was the old girl, this is the oldest, most stock, photo I could find. It looks like she just had an eBay trunk lip and black window trim at the time:

https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4580/38640177291_03d27f6cf9_b.jpg (https://flic.kr/p/21Sv1vi)

In her heyday:

https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4569/38584033526_464c3ecbc2_b.jpg (https://flic.kr/p/21Sv1vi)

With my Dad's 8v A3 (the addiction runs in the family):

DTM rear:

After my previous car died, I was in a time crunch to get a new car, as my B7 is my daily driver (and only car). Fortunately I lucked out and quickly found a car that was exactly what I was looking for, and only a few short hours away in Clifton, NJ. Couple shots from the day I got her:

It was not long at all before I started to mod this one as well. I had a whole slew of parts from my old car that were itching to be re-comissioned. I threw on my black optics RS4 grille, black mirror caps and swapped the bixenons that came on the car to the ones I had been refurbishing for my last car.
https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4584/37922665184_44648ccbef_b.jpg (https://flic.kr/p/DJDuTN)
Some nice frosty shots:

When my taxes came in, I swung down to aluthman's parts emporium and scooped up some recaros. Best. Upgrade. Ever. If you're at all on the fence about these, do it. They are 1,000,000x more comfortable than the stock seats and really hold you in place whilst driving aggressively.

Some cool B7's:

The Recaros:

Met up with Joe/Impulse and traded some parts for these LED tails. They don't look awful, but I was not a fan of the clear look.
https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4537/24767813828_336f7346ee_b.jpg (https://flic.kr/p/21PDmSd)
A little red Lamin-x took care of that rather nicely. They're a little smokier than stock, but not crazy at all. It breaks up the rear and still looks mostly OEM. Gives the rear end just a little more modern of a feel IMO.

Shortly after, I blacked out my window trim to match the grille. She's looking mighty fine at this point, but unfortunately I had to wait a little longer before throwing the summer wheels on.

Cleaned up my engine bay with a Carbonio intake (I promise I did it for the looks and the sound, not the "performance"), as well as one of those side covers:
https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4559/38584075316_90048a2028_b.jpg (https://flic.kr/p/21MxtkS)
Finally warm enough to throw on my Miro 111:
https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4583/26864289759_15375a6c6c_b.jpg (https://flic.kr/p/21MxtkS)
https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4547/26864297379_b107cab65d_b.jpg (https://flic.kr/p/GVUvpD)

Couldn't let the DTM bumper I had on the old car go to waste:
https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4566/26864346049_9afb432559_b.jpg (https://flic.kr/p/GVUxF2)
Got that installed. Looks nice, but the current exhaust tips will have to go. (Mom's B8.5 A4 in the background. I told you guys, our family has a problem):

https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4520/26864365709_d99d5337f5_b.jpg (https://flic.kr/p/GVUREi)

Ahh, much better. I love the quad tip look, plus they fill out the DTM valance nicely.

Random parking lot shot:
https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4586/38607855462_e9542b6e3c_b.jpg (https://flic.kr/p/GVUNGV)

Spent nearly a full day giving the paint some TLC. Full wash, clay bar, polish, and sealant.
https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4580/26864368049_7be9ed2c78_b.jpg (https://flic.kr/p/21PDmmo)

Big ass rings mod. One of the first shots of my girl at my new apartment. This really brings the rear end together for me. Sorry all you shaved ring lovers!
https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4578/37922674564_507bc0bfc2_b.jpg (https://flic.kr/p/GVUUFt)

Next up, I got a really good deal on some OEM S4 carbon fiber trim. I much prefer it to the fish scale trim I had before it.

https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4544/37752495885_3eee135753_b.jpg (https://flic.kr/p/ZM6qEQ)

Went to broke.east with a group of buddies and had a great time.

S4 mirror caps. Not everyone's cup of tea on my build but they're here to stay (for now):
https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4562/37922633824_cc05fc953d_b.jpg (https://flic.kr/p/Zw4BKF)

Met up with a guy at H20i and bought some panda Recaro seats. They are in great condition and I got an amazing deal on them. I freakin love these.
https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4539/38640164581_5f6440227a_b.jpg (https://flic.kr/p/ZM6pQd)

Sold the Miros and went back to winter mode. I loved how they looked, but it's time for something new with my wheels next year.
https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4533/38584010906_fd609b7b92_b.jpg (https://flic.kr/p/21SuWJa)

Took my car to Firestone to get an alignment done and got a nice surprise [headbang]. Fortunately, they didn't try to deny that they damaged my car, and have since given me a fairly sizable check to compensate me for the damages.
https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4519/37922679114_5387207d79_b.jpg (https://flic.kr/p/21Mx9cm)

We had a wind storm a few weeks ago, and of course, my quarter panel got a nice ding. This really hasn't been a good few weeks for my baby [=(]
https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4577/26864288889_c4018e7a88_b.jpg (https://flic.kr/p/ZM6Di5)

With all the shit happening to my car, I had to offset some of the bad with some good. I got a DTM front bumper for a great price locally. It is the right color, but needs a respray [mad]. Whatever, can't win it all, right? This will be getting resprayed in the next few weeks and installed shortly after.
https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4533/26864351249_12c5db0bd1_b.jpg (https://flic.kr/p/GVUv9D)

Since I'll be getting paint done to the bumper, and to the parts of the car that have been damaged in the last few weeks, I have some other parts that I plan to have painted at the same time so they all match. Stay tuned to see some of that. Exciting stuff is in store.

Sorry about the run of back luck, but I love how the car is coming together. I'm a sucker for the DTM front, and brilliant red isn't bad either.

I really like the Miro 111 on the car, I have been going back and forth about either getting 19 or 18 but ended up getting a turbo kit maybe next spring i will finally get some wheels.

Grille came in. I went with one of the new full mesh look grilles. I’ll be having the surround painted gloss black and will be running chrome rings.

I also cut out the crash bar cover from the bumper and will be fabricating a cover for the actual crash bar that will look much sexier if all goes to plan.

Paint work will all be done the week of the 11th next month.

I had the 19s and they definitely look a little big if you aren’t super low. Even then, I’m planning on getting 18s next time around. Miros are a solid choice though and look great on the B7, so I think you can’t go wrong. They can be had for pretty cheap if you shop around so it’s hard to beat them.

Ebay. They have them on amazon as well. Just search b7 RS grille on either and it should be one of the first results!

I’ve got no kids and a small, cheap apartment. Life’s great! Haha except my complete lack of free time due to work and school.

Glad I’m a source of inspiration to you though, hopefully I’ll see some updates from you. Gotta respect the red b7 [az]

A ton of my friends have no kids. They take vacations and have crazy amount of disposable income. Enjoy what you work hard to earn is what I say. I attempted to start a progress thread in the Canada section but it just doesn’t get as much exposure. I’m going to start one over here instead.

Ebay. They have them on amazon as well. Just search b7 RS grille on either and it should be one of the first results!

I thought these grilles didn’t fit the DTM style bumper.. and that the only way you could have the full honeycomb look is by cutting a RS6 grill out and putting it into the frame of a DTM style grille.

The DTM bumper accepts a normal, non sline grille. So it will fit

Yeah kids are not cheap. I don't have kids and I couldn't do some things I am doing now if I had kids. For instance a study done in the early 90s said the cost of raising a kid from 0-18 years old is roughly 185,000 dollars. Being 2017 now that estimate for sure has been raised! ;)

No real progress to speak of. Ordered a few parts and will be dropping off my car next week for paint/repairs. Expect substantial updates then!

For now here’s a sweet pic of my car as I was headed to lunch.

Installed a BFI shift knob tonight. Pics incoming in the morning.

Got an 06 STi lip in today. I’ll be running the (replica) OE carbon lip and then this under that lip for extra aggression/to absorb any scrapes instead. This splitter was like $30 on eBay and looks like itll fit damn near perfectly with just a little trimming.

I have thought about it. I would definitely like the subtleness of it. If I ever need to pull it I’ll paint it. It doesn’t bother me enough to make a project of it just yet.

ECS has a 50% off sale right now for Ziza LED kits. Installed one today and the difference is massive. Illuminates the interior so much more than the crappy stock bulbs. Plus, they still fade in and out!

Honestly i have no idea what aux setup this is. It came on the car and I haven’t dug through it to see. Seems to be a very barebones mod, I think they just literally added an aux input with no additional features or anything.

Thanks for the kind words man! Dropped her off last night at my body shop along with the DTM front bumper and the S-line trunk lid. Super stoked.

The quality is pretty good. It's all one piece as opposed to the OEM 2-piece design. The mesh looks decent, with the only super obvious shortcoming being the ring holder. However in pics I have seen of the grilles installed, it's not super noticeable. The thing I personally dislike the most about it is that the surround is matte instead of glossy, however I am getting the surround on mine painted gloss black to address this.

Got the car back from the shop. My bumper and quarter panel look brand new. The DTM front is ready to rock and roll. I got the reflectors shaved and the grille painted gloss black as well, both of which tidy up he front a LOT imo. Got the S-line trunk lid painted and installed and will post pics with the ECS spoiler tomorrow when there is daylight haha.

Hopefully will get the DTM front installed either this upcoming week or by next weekend at the latest. Still have two finals Monday so alas, the toys must wait. Studying first!

I haven’t trimmed it yet. I will be running the stock DTM splitter with it too. The STi lip will go under that to protect it from scrapes, so I want to mock it all up together and see what it looks like before I trim anything, so I don’t mess it up

In my case it’s cheaper to get the Dension. I paid a little over $100 with shipping. I can use my iPhone. I don’t need to do anything to the stock system saving me money. Luckily I still have a 175 Watt amp and a crossover that I can try installing in the Spring. I’m not as fussy over the sound like I used to be when I would rock a ported box with 2x 12” subs. I might change the speakers and at some point in the future go RNSE.

Just went today to pull off the two side pieces of my 3pc spoiler, and just found out the body shop that repaired my bumper and quarter panel resprayed the entire quarter panel around the plastic piece without removing it. Now there’s a noticeable ridge around where the spoiler sat and the paint doesn’t match lol. Absolutely unacceptable imo for them to have done that without at least contacting me first. I’m going to go up to the shop tomorrow and see what they offer for restitution. I’m pretty pissed off right now.

I have a set of black A8 trunk rings that I am debating tossing on there. I am digging the shaved look a lot more than I thought I would though. I think I'm going to run it like this for a little bit to see if it grows on me before I put the rings back on it.

wow your car looks amazing. The color in the picture almost looks like a wrap. I'm with the group saying put the rings back. I also shaved all my emblems on the back and I intended to black out the rins and put them back. When I took everything off I didn't like it. The shape of the A4 rear just looks lost and like a big blob without the rings braking it up. I don't know if it's because the tails are red and just blend in or if it's the shape but that's just my take.

I really appreciate it guys. I’m so stoked with how this build is coming out, and I’m glad everyone else seems to be liking it as well. The spoiler definitely ups the aggressiveness of the rear end and I love how it came out.

OK you got a picture without the rings. Why not mock it up. Put the car in the same spot if you can and use some double sided tape just something to get it to stick then you can take a picture and compare side by side. I think it looks sweet I just think it would look even better with the rings on it.

I like it mate, you have a nice build there. Its interesting though, in any non-US based forum, this build would get slaughtered because (IMHO) its very americanised if that makes sense. Its kind of like you're making a Audi into a Chev. Don't get offended, Im doing a similar kind of thing to mine as you know. :)

Genuinely curious, in what regard am I making my car look like a chev? Removing the rings? Not offended at all and definitely appreciate some insight from different perspectives!

I can’t say I’m a huge fan of the carbon DTM scoops. I like the idea of some carbon fiber in that area, but those are a little too assertive.

I do want to get my hands on a FBSW/more aggressive looking wheel pretty badly, but that will most likely be a little bit down the road.

Hi all,

A little info about myself:

My name's Ashton. I'm 20 and I'm a full-time engineering student at my local community college, and I will be attending UConn for ChemE next year.

Couple shots from the day I got her:

https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4523/24767809588_f600d01b9c_b.jpg (https://flic.kr/p/GVUW9i)

The Recaros:
https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4561/38607857192_b291d14cac_b.jpg (https://flic.kr/p/21Mxe33)

I love what I see here. That Hypestance car looks so nice. I think you should take a pic with the black A8 rings on the back and see how it stacks up to how it is now. Either way it has to look good. I love my ECS spoiler too! The old grey b7 you had with the miros also looks super clean man. Glad to see someone else is taking advantage of adams parts emporium as well ;) In for progress!!! Whens the big turbo come??

She’s K04 right now. Something bigger is going to be quite a ways down the road unless I find a screaming deal or something. I’d LOVE to get some sort of twin-scroll setup like Adam has eventually. Once I get the DTM front on, I’ll be getting some wheels before summer and MAYBE a meth injection setup, and that may be it for major mods for a little while unfortunately [=(]

Dam looks good, I'm just wondering how you make your back end such a beauty.

Is it the quad tips and rear valence or the dam angle of the picture that make it look so good?

I think it’s both. This is a really great angle for sure, and the DTM rear just really makes the ass end pop. It just adds more aggression and modernness and livens it up. The quad tips and spoiler make it look mean. The lightly tinted tails bring everything together nicely and keep the back end from looking like a red blob.

I have to disagree on the color matched trunk liner. I had mine color matched and then had it repainted black. It's as if something is missing...... kinda like those rings!!!

But for real. Still a good looking ride.

I quite like that bit on my car. I was even thinking maybe I should have gotten that trim piece molded/shaved into the bumper to make it all look like one piece, kind of like how the avants are. I definitely prefer the color-matched trim there. I’ve had it both silver and black on this car previously but I like this better. Different strokes for different folks, nothing wrong with that!

I refuse to ditch the fogs off my dtm front. I think it makes the bumper pop that much more

Also definitely am a fan of your rear. My vote is for no rings, but I can’t say I didn’t consider CF trunk rings for my setup. Which borderline is the same as yours

Got my eBay DTM splitter in finally. Haven’t installed the bumper yet due to the frigid temperatures here and my lack of a garage. Trying to work with a buddy to get it installed when I get back from vacation in mid Jan. In the meantime, here are some pics with both spoilers mocked up:

I will definitely need to trim the STI lip a little to get it to fit how I want it to. It’s a little too wide but if I don’t like it, I’ll just rip it off. Thinking it may look okay if I get some side skirts and maybe rear canards to match and carry the look all the way back. Or maybe I can make some relief cuts and flex it enough to sit closer to the edge of the bumper. I also need to drill the DTM splitter as apparently the replica ones don’t come pre-drilled. No big deal, but it is a minor annoyance I wasn’t anticipating.

Thanks for all the love guys!

BIG weekend for the A4. I got my DTM front on finally. I will pull it off and black out the crash bar and mod it to retain my fog lights later. It took a lot more time and effort to shave the bumper down than I though so I ran out of time last night to do all the extras. It still looks phenomenal though.

I also installed Airlift Performance V2 with Koni Yellow rear struts. I’ve been saving up for this for awhile, but I didn’t post about this sooner because I wasn’t didn’t want to mention it and have the deal fall through or anything like that. I needed to redo my control arms and if I factor in the savings on labor from doing it myself concurrently withe the bags install, coupled with what I can sell that I pulled off my car yesterday, it’s like I’m paying almost nothing out of pocket.

The ride is so much smoother than my coilovers and now I obviously don’t have to worry about speed bumps, steep inclines, etc. It was a solid investment for sure.

Yeah there are a few people who think that! Personally, I love the DTM front end. It's more aggressive and slightly more modern looking. Plus it complements all the other DTM pieces I have; now I have the full kit.

Was bout to say - this is a time where plastidip is actually beneficial. Paint will get locks of chips and little dings in it. Plastidip will be a bit more resistant. Or vinyl. Or cut a section out of it and put in a light bar...

The dip definitely is durable since it’s rubbery. Doesn’t matter as much behind the grille but it’s probably still a better choice than actual paint

Funny you mentioned the light bar! I seriously thought about doing the same thing! Measured 20-22” in length. But back on topic black plastidip works wonders to cover that portion up since it’s more resilient to rock chips and road debris.

Honestly the light bar is not a bad idea at all. I’ll have to file that away as distant future plans for the car as that would be pretty cool. I will either plastidip the bar or I bought a sheet of HDPE that I was planning on adhering over the crash bar to give it a bit cleaner of a look. Not sure if it’s worth the extra work though so I may just scrap this plan

I'm a sucker for light bars, I have a PIAA RF yellow beam sitting on my work bench waiting for me to figure out how to put it on my daily. I think it should help cut the winter weather very nicely.

And the car is looking great!

I agree on just Plasti-dip on the crash bar to get rid of it peeking through the grille.

Also in agreement with a light bar. I run a 22" LED light bar recessed behind my lower front grille on my Subaru DD and it works absolute wonders at night/winter driving without directly blinding oncoming traffic. Worth every penny.

Threw the black mirrors back on today. I feel like the darker color makes more sense with the theme I’m running. This will hold doubly true if the summer wheels I get are bronze/gunmetal.

Those rims are sweet. 53362 but I’m not sure how I feel about gold. I think if it was my black car I’d do gold, but with the red already being kinda flashy the gold might make it busy. But I could also see myself ending up liking it. I’d call gunmetal a safe bet and gold would be more fun

Haha dude if you're Ballin' on a budget I must be Ballin' in poverty! Sweet car I love what you're doing with it and from a Brilliant Red owner thanks for some ideas. I never thought of putting Lamin-X on the LED tails.

I agree I think the LED's look a little cheesy but with the lamin-X they don't look so bad, little bit more OEM looking. I read the DIY on swapping out your OEM lens but its too much work, most of it guesswork fitting

Thanks for the input guys. I definitely love both color schemes, but I'm leaning gunmetal faces for now.

I may just leave them polished/see if I can lightly sand the faces or similar to make the faces just a matte silver look and do powder work next season (to save $$$). I'll have to test fit them first before I make any final decisions.

Samsonite

Might as well run them as is for a season and then switch em up next season. Right now youre getting new wheels and then next season it will be like new wheels again. As for face color, I dont think you can go wrong any way you go. Im usually an oem+ advocate and would say gunmetal, but it depends what look youre going for and how much attention you want, gold and bronze will look good on red.

Personally gold would work well on just the hardware if you want to incorporate it but shouldnt be the face of the wheel. Especially a gold powdercoat - just looks cheap. Grey could look nice but I really love an all polished set of wheels. Even just adding a brush on the face would add some contrast. Examples which im sure you are familiar with below.

I do love the idea of gold hardware with a gunmetal face. However, the seller sent me pics last night of the wheels after he repolished them for me, and the all-polished look is growing on me, not gonna lie.

I’ll definitely have to see them in person and test fit before I make any determinations.

Will any of these or products similar work for a matte finished wheel or will they make they shiny and have a waxed appearance ? I'm looking for a ceramic wheel product that works for matte wheels.

My anodized brushed faces looked identical after treatment.

There can be a slight ‘haze’ on polished parts but it’s nothing short of worth it.

Your polished parts only look good when clean and cleaning them sucks. This will make you keep them clean longer and more often.

I know man, I want to run them so bad. Unfortunately I have neither the patience nor fastidiousness required to chop mine up like that.

I may look into getting some skirts custom fabd or if I can find a decent deal on relaks, see if I can get a body shop to modify them for me.

I really wish a company made some that fit.

Yep I work with loans pretty much all day! Speaking of, I also accepted a promotion at work today. Not sure when I’m going to start as my company will have to train my replacement first, but I’m super stoked about that. No more working directly with customers and I get better hours and my own office! This has been a good week for sure.

I appreciate it man! It’s definitely looking sweet. Honestly, I don’t feel like there is much major left to do to the car that I have planned. Most of what I wanted to do is already done, so I’ll pretty much just be fine-tuning the little details that I’m not 100% happy with. Until I decide to do something crazy like a motor swap or widebody, but I’ll save that kind of expenditure until I get my engineering degree lol.

Might also get rid of the DTM sides all together since I'm going with RS4 sides for my wide body conversion.

I’m currently enrolled in a general engineering program at my local community college, but I’m going to UConn or UF hopefully for Chemical Engineering. I selected Biomedical as my backup major when I applied to both colleges I’m interested in transferring to, so hopefully at least one of the two pans out. I really loved all 3 chem courses I’ve taken, and I’ve been decent in most of the math classes I’ve taken, so ChemE just seems like a natural fit for me.

Got tires put on the wheels today and I must say I’m fairly disappointed. They’re not as stretched as I was hoping and I think they’ll prevent me from running the aggressive fitment I was hoping for. I’ll have to test fit before I’m certain, but I’ll likely be throwing these up for sale and replacing them with 215/40/18 instead of the 225/40/18 I have on them now. If any of you need some tires in this size, let me know [:D]

Well, after a lot of thinking and some test fitting, I’ve acquiesced to just running the wheels as is this season. They actually look really good installed, and although I don’t quite have the perfect lip-to-fender fitment, I’m 99% of the way there. Plus, these tires will protect the wheels a lot better than thinner ones. Since it’s my DD, I feel that this is a good trade-off between looks and functionality. Overall I’m actually really happy with how it turned out!

I like the touch of contrast the silver rings bring. Black ones don’t look bad, but it blends together a bit too much imo. That’s why I chose to stick with silver.

Thanks! I love your car too man! Can’t go wrong with a white B7 at all imo, although I wouldn’t complain about a red avant either [:p]

Yeah but I don’t think I could pull it off on my car. I keep wondering but with the way your front looks it fits perfectly. The grills are all black mesh, no license plate it all goes together. While on my car everything chrome has been blacked out and with the rear having Matte black rings I feel like the chrome rings up front wouldn’t match the rest of the car. I might photoshop it and see what I think. I’ve got a set of rings a friend of mine gave me I’ll stick it at the front grill take a picture and then PShop it.

No, plus the bumper is still lined up where it meets the quarter panel. I’m thinking new bumper/trunk/tails and I’ll be set. I just hope his insurance doesn’t hassle me about the DTM rear or aftermarket tails.

Sounds good man! I’ll tell em to give it back to me, and I also still have that DTM spoiler that needs to be refinished. I’ll text you when I get the car into the shop.

Haha I wish! Budget is pretty tight right now with the new school next semester. I’ll just be happy if they don’t hassle me about my aftermarket parts.

It definitely sucks but I’m thankful it wasn’t worse and no one was hurt!

I'd even save the rear bumper. I'd be willing to bet someone could repair that. DTM bumpers are always in high demand.

You think so? Looking at it again, I think you might be right. someone with a plastic welder could possibly fix it up. I’ll keep it if they let me and throw it up for sale on here.

If anyone wants it PM me. I won’t be asking a lot for it.

Sorry for the lack of updates, everyone. Had a few personal things come up and actually ended up moving down to FL this semester for school. The body shop that handled my car after the accident wasn’t able to get a DTM bumper shipped before I had to head down for school, so I’m rocking one with a hole in it for now. They did replace the taillights and trunk though (unfortunately with a non s-line lid which they will be replacing for me at some point).

Much better now, although far from perfect.

I also nailed a giant hole on my dads property and scraped off the lip setup I had. Fortunately, I just need to re-mount it, but haven’t found the time. She’s dirty as hell and has seen better days, but still doesn’t look too bad [emoji6]

The plan is to head back up to CT after this semester is done. Should have some more updates in December, but unfortunately my modding budget has essentially dried up until I can get settled back in CT. Updates may be pretty sparse for a little while. Hoping to get the front lip back on and possibly a quick detail pretty soon though!

I’m trying my best not to stress about the car. It just sucks because of how much time and money I’ve put into it, but it’ll be back in good shape pretty soon, so no big deal! Definitely enjoying the semester and getting out there and meeting people. This school is HUGE compared to what I’m used to and there are a lot of opportunities here.

Taillights are the ECS smoked JOM taillights. I absolutely love how they look, even better than the ones I had before I got hit.

Wow. That car is super clean. Ocean Blue paint? Looks super good on the Rial's.

Speaking of, I'm thinking about getting my Rial center's powedercoated for next season. I'm thinking bronze but I'm not sure yet.

Finally got some more updates for y'all. After almost a year of my car being damaged, I just got the car back today with no more bumper hole and the correct trunk lid installed. What a fucking hassle dealing with insurance and the body shop screwing up and not wanting to own up to their mistakes [headbang] I'm just glad that's done lol.

I also ditched the Rials and threw on some Alzors (I know, I know) I got while they were on sale [up]. I also bought some black front rings on a whim and love how mean they look, despite my initial hesitation to run them.

https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190510/7fd09b97770620ce24866b63bba814cd.jpg

I just bought some S4 rear brakes and a new rear control arm. The stupid camber bolt on my driver side is just fused to the metal insert in the control arm bushing, so I'm going to have to cut the damn thing out.

I still need to fix up a few more things to get her back to tip-top shape, but I just recently accepted a new position paying me double what I have been making, so expect to see a few more updates over the summer! I'm hoping to get some fogs fitted to the DTM bumper and I'm thinking there may be a meth kit and a much more aggressive tune in the near future for me as well [;)]

Thanks for the kind words man!

I found a deal on a B8.5 S4 that I couldn’t refuse. I tried selling the car whole, but couldn’t get any serious interest. Glad I decided to part out since I’ve made well over my asking price and still have a decent bit of stuff to sell.

I'm glad you got an S4 I've been looking at a couple at different times as well. It's too bad you live so far I'd love some parts since you're the same color lol. Message me if you still have the shark fin it's small enough it shouldn't be too bad to ship.

Thanks man! She was well-loved but it was time to move on. Already have some plans for the S4. In fact, she’s at the body shop today getting rock chips repaired and a new bumper painted, and I already have an airlift setup that I need to find time to install.
