While installing my new rain tray cover the other day, I noticed at torn grommet that my dealer must’ve ripped when working on my car at some point, as I bought my car new from them. It seems to be a line that goes through the firewall to the battery. Does anyone know if it matters that the grommet is ripped? Pic below with blue arrow pointing to it.

Are you there only owner of that vehicle? Typically that's where people route the power wire for an aftermarket amplifier.

Yep, original owner since new.

Ah sorry, ignore my previous comment. Was looking on my phone and thought that grommet was the one behind the battery, not in front. I doubt it matters that it is ripped, to be honest.

Grommet is likely there to prevent wire chafing due to engine vibration. Get some black tape and cover it up - will look a bit ghetto but it's not stopping moisture ingress or anything else as the battery side is exposed to dampness anyways.
