View Full Version : Who's deleted the suitcase muffler off their A6 3.0t?
I'm debating whether of not to remove the suitcase muffler for slightly more sound, but I don't want any drone or a loud system. I've held off on modifying with an aftermarket system because I haven't found a solution that meets my needs.
Anyone perform this? Thoughts? Video footage with sound in and out of vehicle?
Thanks in advance.

Thanks in advance. It will be just what you want. No DRONE or loud system. To be honest sounds like a stock v8 type performance system. I wanted more sound so I ended deleting mid resonator and then there came the drone! Much regret I ended up installing the resonator back till I am ready for an "x"setup.

Do you have a picture of what was done? To be clear, you removed the center muffler, not the mufflers themselves?
Which number on the diagram is the correct one to remove? Thanks!

https://i.imgur.com/U9ywFQn.jpgFirst move I made was the mufflers delete. Which would the 22 n 23. Sounds like that maybe what you want. Sound wise. Cold start you can tell the difference from stock. Idling was suttley more quiet but not stock quiet. Best and very surprisingly impressed was driving specially in dynamic sport mode . very brings out the performance but not overly loud and no drone. For just straight piping these mufflers really reminded me of a performance exhaust that really held back the unnecessary drone but opens up to the motor. That's my opinion and mod that cost less than a paper Benjamin.

What do you mean by “center muffler”? The resonator where one would traditionally put an x pipe? If so, what did you install there to fill the gap?

I'm going to the workshop tomorrow and wanted to clarify what to do. My idea was to replace mid muffler with Magnaflow 11385 and leave else stock. Really want it to be a little louder and lower. So as i was looking the piping i noticed that its a little harder to fit the magnaflow in place of the original muffler. The magnaflow is a little longer and harder to fit.
So should i just delete the middle muffler? Replace it with magnaflow resonated x-pipe? Delete middle muffler and front resonators and replace front with 11385? Keeping in mind i'd like to keep the sound levels lower not full on racing car.

I want to set it up like OEM S7/S6 setup. Gonna cut open the second port, weld a little piping and then the valve and weld a second exhaust tip to the valve. Allready ordered a S7 diffuser so i could add 2 exhaust tips. Probrably could leave only one tip visible and point the second one downwards behind the diffuser but im not sure if there is enough spacing behind the diffuser to add the valve and also a downward facing pipe. Looks better with 4 tips anyways and probrably a little better/clearer sound when it is not pointed down.
Ok i got my x-pipe fitted today. I can now say that replacing the OEM middle muffler with magnaflow x-pipe makes about 0 difference in sound. At least on a stock A7 3.0TFSI. We ran out of time today so i'm gonna continue this on monday. Probrably will try adding the valves and see how it sounds with open valves and then decide if i want to straight pipe the resonators. Altough the resonators shouldnt silence the sound that much?
EDIT: Made a video comparing stock and new x-pipe. Strangest thing is that inside it is even quieter than before. Outside watching this video now it does sound a little better(lower) but in real life its still basicly in stealth mode unless you hit the gas pedal hard.

Ok got today my rear bumper diffuser but it turns out that i dont have an s-line bumper and the S7 diffuser wont fit to regular bumper. So a little screwed with this. My cheapest option at the moment would be aftermarket RS7 difffuser like this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/REAR-DIFFUSER-STYLE-FOR-AUDI-A7-4G-WITH-EXHAUST-PIPES-TIPS-2010-2014-/273171208817
But im not that in to RS7 style if it actually is a regular A7 3.0TFSI. Im trying to find an s-line bumper at the moment.
But as this all takes time i probrably will still install the valves but use a 90 degree pipe downwards directed so i can do most of the work needed to fit the valves.

I removed my rear mufflers added smaller aftermarket mufflers, and kept the stock mid resonator, it is a little louder but it drones from 1500-2200, so I have to drive in sport at all times, especially if the GF is in the car.... I will see if I can make a before and after vid
OK now i'm getting somewhere. Pics attached. Havent heard myself but the tech sayd it sounded allready better when one muffler port was opened. I can test out tomorrow and will try to make a video.
But because the rear diffuser doesnt fit i cant really use them. I let the flaps as they are at the moment behind my old diffuser. There is no clearance for a downward directed pipe. Im not sure still how im gona solve my problem. Altough i have found some s-line bumpers allready for pretty cheap. I do kind of like that RS style diffuser look but am irritated about the fact that i have to leave my old 2 pipes in the oval exhaust tip. Looks strange in my opinon. The aftermarket diffusers do come with an adapter for the muffler pipe end but they all are for single pipe tip so cant really use them.

OK got the valves done today. I only drove the car in the city for 5 minutes but first impression is a little mixed feelings. It is now def. louder, but somewhere around 2000rpm gets too loud or dronei. Ill take it later on the highway and hope i have the time to make a video also. In the higher revs above 3500rpm or so it is not that loud anymore. But again, this is what i hear from the inside.
I think maybe this gets better when i have the S diffuser installed. At the moment the valves open behind the stock diffuser and maybe the sound travels in a strange way and produces more drone. If i wouldn have the valves i think i would get bored of this in a few weeks. I still have the front resonators in place, i dont know how much this affects anything. If i remove them will i get less drone and a little louder or worst case louder and more drone also?
EDIT: Driving around a little and im out of ideas. If i wouldn have installed the valves, opening the second outlet would result in an undriveable car. The drone is so bad that my door and roof linings start to rattle and my keys in the center console. It is worst around 1300-2700 rpm. On higher revs the car sounds pretty much the same, a little lower note to it. Revving while parking sounds great tough.. And outside is also ok. But same problem, the higher revs fade out somehow, the lower rpm sounds much lower and is noticeable.
So literally dont know what to do next. Will deleting the front resonators change anything? Should i move the x-pipe instead of the baby resonators and straight pipe the middle muffler where the x-pipe is at the moment. Or leave the front end as it is and deal with the rear mufflers.
The most expensive way would be replacing the baby res with my current x-pipe and straight pipe the center muffler part. Then realise there is no difference or it gets worse and end up putting all back.
Really love the idea of the valves though. The car is nice and quiet when valves are closed, but the massive drone and low sound on higher rpms kind of ruins it.

Kind of sounds like a magnaflow setup. Single outlets sound good, dual outlets drone.
I have a magnaflow full catback, from 1600-3000 they claim to have a ‘deep bassy’ tone, but it’s droney. Doesn’t sound like it’s quite as bad as yours though. Only a few things I know make it go away- close one of the outlets, certain length j tubes or one guy (fitzy) installed cut outs before the rear mufflers. Got louder but drone went away. Other option I’ve seen is glass packs to muffle some of the drone. Hope that helps or maybe gives you a new idea...

Question, you mentioned that you removed the middle suitcase muffler and replaced with XPipe however the picture looks like the Magnaflow Muffler 11385, is the xpipe in place or the new muffler? I'm curious because you were unhappy with its result; if you replaced the OEM middle muffler and with an aftermarket muffler but have stock resonators and post/rear mufflers, you wouldn't have much change at all.
Oooook thanks dude :D Now things start to make sense. I somehow imagined that there is a xpipe inside and it was just shaped as a muffler. I feel pretty stupid now :D Yes so i replaced the stock middle muffler with an aftermarket one and yes no sound change. Makes sense now that you think of it. I was thinking people use different x-pipes because they are easier to get or cheaper or whatever. Also my guide was a thread in B8 S4 thread where someone made a google docs table of possible exhaust mods and videos and so on.
So, i should replace the 11385 with a proper x-pipe and see what the result is. Maybe i even get rid of the horrible drone?

If your new valves are left open, replacing the resonated X-pipe with a plain non-resonated X-pipe will only increase the drone. If you close the valves entirely (or maybe even just half way), that will give you some increased sound over stock with a non-resonated x-pipe. The resonated X-pipe you got should be a little louder than stock but prob only noticeable outside the car.

It looks like you have the factory x pipe just upstream of your magnaflow flow muffler, it’s possible you could get better sound by just removing the magnaflow and straight piping it. Not sure but melon2120 put cutouts before his rear mufflers with the suit case muffler gone and he seemed to like it.

Replacing the front resonators won't change the drone in a good way , but will make it louder ,not only from rear but you will also get some from the front of the system.
There is really no way to improve sound of the oem exhaust and keep it drone free . Removing mid box and front resonators will make it louder, yes but not necessarily better sound (assuming you keep oem mufflers) . Removing oem mufflers it's the worst you can do in terms of drone , but in the same time the best in terms of performance since the mufflers are the most restrictive part from the whole system. But like you already experienced ,the drone it's unbearable... The only solution it is a new exhaust system. No drone or at least not very bad and you also gain some performance ,which is the most important!

I've literally tried every way to manipulate the stock exhaust and have gotten subpar results. Honestly, the best results were cutouts in front of the stock mufflers so you can switch it back to stock when cruising around at low rpm. Wide open sounds pretty good but not in D through town. Personally I dont think any option we have sounds great including AWE...at least for the price. Which sucks

I had a magnaflow center muffler and no tailpipes for awhile it screamed on the high end, sounded like poop off idle crazy drone too.

Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkMy set up is 100% stock with cutouts before the mufflers. So the same as both mufflers being deleted when open. I had the suitcase removed and reinstalled. With the suitcase deleted along with the rear mufflers, it was too raspy. Just my opinion. Def like the cutouts! Back to stock with a push of a button so then just supercharger whine[emoji16]

The drone in 7-8th gear this the 3.0t
Make with muffler delete or agressiv race muffler is pathetic,
Sound like a gtr on wot then sound like a garbage can when cruising.
I had no luck finding a suitable setup, cutout are loud as hell, I wish I could have figured half way sound like it with no drone
But it didnt happen, started with magnaflow catback which gave about 15% more sound. Tryed removing the rear muffler
Was wayyyy too loud and drony, tryed race muffler to filter it a bit it was less noisy bit as much drone as straight so I just put back my
Butchered magnaflow catback and tolerated the drone and driving in s most of the time

If you want a quiet fwy mode put a cutout valve in one tailpipe making it a single outlet, that’s what I do.

Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkWhen I first got the magnaflow mine was kind of poorly welded together. Nonetheless I still had the drone. And when I put race pipes and custom downpipes I still have the same level of drone. My next move is to put a universal x pipe, like oem, with this heavy duty butt clamp that I really like because its sleeved with 2 band clamps. I'm looking to go valved also, through awe switchpath or something DIY. What is your setup like?111187111188

Sound wise , the best I have found is this (My sq5 exhaust) : Test pipes > oem flex pipes with mufflers > Magnaflow resonated X-pipe > Vibrant 1141 2.5" Ultra Quiet Resonators. Very deep, very loud , no rasp whatsoever! GTR sound! If you can find a shop to do the anti-drone pipes before the mufflers this is the best system
Don't use Magnaflow mufflers, they are as quiet as oem (or worst) plus drone like crazy. The only advantage is better performance comparing with oem .
Vibrant 1141 2.5" Ultra Quiet Resonators are much better - free flow as well but louder and no rasp and they are pretty small and much easier to fit exhaust tips . Much better build than anything else I seen so far (awe, millteck, Magnaflow mufflers)
Also worth mentioning, my Magnaflow resonated X-Pipe pretty much turned into a non resonated X-Pipe after 10,000km driving on my actual set up . The fiber glass it is all gone. There was a point where I could see it on the exhaust tips. But there is still no rasp , so that's fine I guess [:D]

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KHWCemGS4dMI wish I could test it on my car before investing in another set up. Problem is it might sound great on an sq5 but sound subpar on an A6. The s4 and s5 have good options and they sound completely different on the A6 even though all have the same 3.0t. Thanks for the post though! Might give it a shot. You wouldn't happen to have a sound clip by chance would you? Shot in the dark but had to ask.

No sound clip from outside but I will try and get some,it is my list to do for a while! I have a short clip from inside, but you can't really hear the exhaust with the closed windows even if outside it is very loud, especially since I also put Dynamat on trunk and all four doors. Also, the camera it is located right under the windshield on a corner and the mic doesn't catch any exhaust sound
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MMtZCsUb0WQ&feature=youtu.be&fbclid=IwAR29vlM7umPP5Gpzn-PXWHOHaTgvnievgw98fjnL0XY90c_NWl1rGHnfrcc
I do have to correct myself a little. This terrible drone came because i didnt had a dual outlet diffuser fitted yet, so the valved exhaust was just behind the stock rear diffuser. I guess the soundwaves started to bounce around behind the bumper and created this terrible drone. I now have a S7 diffuser with quad tips and the drone is almost gone. Overall the car is a lot quieter also. I have to let my gf drive it around so i could hear it from the outside. But on the positive side, almost no drone anymore, now it is possible to drive around with the valves open.
Overall still not satisfied with the results. I guess i'm going facelift S7 sport exhaust + cete valve control and possible remove front resonators also. Considering the build of OEM S7 exhaust, i think it cant be much louder then my current setup.

If not where is the resonator?Suitcase is the muffler and the resonators are located on down pipes. Stock configuration goes as following: Stock cats->resonated downpipes->2" connector->2.25 xpipe->center huge muffler(not sure if pipes are crossed)->to the end mufflers.

I've been running awe downpipes to a x-pipe for years on my A7, it's a nice mild sound. So today I just decided to do a muffler delete and OMG is it loud lol! This might have been a horrible decision but it's so damn fun to floor it! I am APR stage 2 and I remember reading that it was recommended to have downpipes when you go stage 2, so I bought them. Then I wanted a little more and added the x pipe. Now I just feel like having so more fun and making the car a little bit more obnoxious, well mission accomplished I guess!!! [emoji1787] This truely let's the car fully breath, before with the stock mufflers on there it was more restrictive. I literally went through a half of tank of gas today just having some fun racing the car around town. The wifey will not be happy with my poor decision-making lol but whatever. $110 for the muffler delete, $150 for x-pipe and $600 awe downpipes I swooped off here years ago and i sound like a exotic car/GTR.

Mine's going in tomorrow for the suitcase delete - judging by a few responses I've read on here I will NOT be putting in an "xpipe" because one already exist so straight pipe connection it is (2.25").
I debated on deleting rear muffler as well but I've gotten mix video 'feelings' if full straight pipe or not is the way to go; I think if I'm not satisfied enough with the mid mufflers deleted then I may do cut-outs just before the rear mufflers to satisfy... maybe.
Will update tomorrow on thoughts.

I look forward to your update as I'm thinking of doing this too, but don't want to ruin things or get excessive drone.

all you need, is to delete the mufflers and add straight pipe/tips... its perfect after doing so. also sounds better than $1000+ exhaust systems for only $250....I got a video up on my Instagram,"Audi_Sith" about 18 posts from the top.
This is about the best sounding modified stock set up I've heard... just delete stock mufflers and NOTHING ELSE

Loud is subjective which is the problem lol. It's too bad there's no local options to hear in person. I like loud if it's a good sound, doesn't drone, etc. That's more what I meant when saying ruin it.

coop,
I agree, wish I had someone local to hear in person if I wanted to go straight pipe or no.. unfortunately I, like most, was at the mercy of YouTube video recordings and whatever equipment limits they had, so I made a judgement call on what I did.
Well I can confirm, again mentioned in this thread, if you intended to remove the suitcase resonator you do NOT need to replace with an XPIPE as there is one there by factory just blocked by a center support bar:
121150
121152
I made a judgement and just removed the suitcase muffler (center resonator) and my result was not as I had hoped... the car was warm started naturally and the sound change was minimal. Giving it some gas I can definitely hear a more deeper grumble but again not as I had hoped. Drove home and passed under bridge and didn't hear much difference. Idling in my driveway I can hear the grumble a bit and the rev is nicer.
The shop did start the car for me after they cut the resonator off, to give me an idea of how loud and rasp it'll sound - obviously it was raspy, a good loud, but too high of a rev yielded rasp. Now obviously this is mid car pipe cut, extend the piping another 5 feet will change the tone and potentially cut down the rasp a bit, but I didn't chance it. I am still considering of cutting off the rear mufflers, installing cutouts at the rear mufflers, or replacing the rear mufflers with a Borla... leaning on the Borla idea.

Shop charged me $100 out the door.

My magnaflow cat back didn't come with oem like x pipe so I bought one to tig weld. Remember! Resonators and mufflers are straight pipes, you'll even see in some descriptions they list as "straight through design". Resonators tune and mufflers manage the volume. My car has some rasp but is a lot deeper tone than any of these clips I've seen. I believe I also blew 65% of the fiberglass overtime and going to repack them. But anyways are you running any tunes?

Stock configuration goes as following: Stock cats->resonated downpipes->2" connector->2.25 xpipe->center huge muffler(not sure if pipes are crossed)->to the end mufflers.
I just want to make sure here...
Really loud is Stock cats->resonated downpipes->2" connector->2.25 xpipe->straight pipe->straight pipe
Loud is Stock cats->resonated downpipes->2" connector->2.25 xpipe->center huge muffler(not sure if pipes are crossed)->straight pipe
Slightly loud is Stock cats->resonated downpipes->2" connector->2.25 xpipe->straight pipe->to the end mufflers

But if you have a ECU tune you should get 2.5" down pipes with better durability and consider putting test pipes on the shelf. The more heat andgasses are known to melt cats and blow down pipes. Here is the after, warm start:
https://youtu.be/qBP0_b62YpU
I'll do a cold start tomorrow or such. There is drone, very very apparent while driving away from shop to meet my brother for lunch. Drove home a little harder, about 20 miles, and its quieted down a little. I have noticed that it will drone more if the car is in comfort and normal drive; so I placed it on Dynamic and in Sport Drive and I like it. I may be forced to put resonators back on but I'll go aftermarket, Magnaflow makes a decent set, but for the weekend I'll enjoy. I might actually not do anything, bare with it, for a couple weeks so the heat settles in and maybe it'll smooth out a bit so we'll see.
To clarify:
Resonator removed with straight pipe and rear mufflers removed with straight pipe. Keep the car in Dynamic Mode and Sport Drive (or Manual drive, but the sport will keep it geared down to reduce drone).

I see you have an a7, I thought I read that the a7 will have a different sound than an A6, even if the same things are done to the exhaust. Is that true?
Based on the last few posts I'm thinking the suitcase won't be enough for me. Maybe I'll jump right to removing the mufflers and replacing with straight pipes.
I don't usually drive in sport though, only had the car a couple weeks and my commute is in rush hour. Haven't used sport since it has the power I need, and I assume sport will make the already poor fuel economy worse lol.

Doesnt matter; GF said she won't drive the car now, drone is too much for her, putting the resonators back on and if that doesn't work then new mufflers.
She's upset, I changed the exhaust on the RCF and she accepted it because she'd drive the A7 if needed, well when I told her what I did today and we went for a drive she explained that she needed the A7 next week because she has co-workers flying into town for work and she was supposed to ride them back and forth (lunches and such).
Thread is longer than needed, consensus was correct, straight pipe is too much for casual driving while removing the resonator yielded little change. I'll find out what it'll sound like with resonator back on and no mufflers on Monday I hope (depending shop's schedule)... just throwing money out the window haha. I know they're going to be laughing when I come back to get stuff PUT back on.

Before the weekend I set up my own under individual with dynamic steering and comfort engine/trans. It's been good so far as this tank seems to be getting better economy.
At the end of the day fuel economy isn't a big deal. I just like running a tank through each mode and driving habit when I get a new car to see how it varies. Next will be a tank using the paddles in manual mode, then a tank in sport. After that I'm see what I like.

Has anyone done anything like this?
Delete the resonators and mid mufflers, and then instead of running two pipes in the middle (circled blue area), just run a single pipe. So it would go 2:1 where the resonators used to be, and then 1:2 where the mid muffler used to be. Keeping oem rear mufflers for now... May go remus axle back in the future.
My custom exhaust guy thinks this would sound great on the 3.0T

Awesome, post some clips when you do it. I’m still on the fence about what to do too

Anyone running this Remus system?
https://www.remusexhauststore.com/product/audi-a7-quattro-2011-2017-axle-back-exhaust
I just picked it up locally... Cannot find any sound clips at all, neither A6 or A7. Gonna post some up after getting it put in. Just gonna keep the rest of the system stock, don't want it too loud and drony.
I'm going to be running these along with deleting my mid muffler and resonators. Remus had always been my favorite exhaust company

Does anyone know the dimensions of the stock A6 C7 mufflers? I removed my center suitcase on my 2012 A6 Prestige 3.0T and it wasn't quite the sound i was looking for - so now i am going to replace rear mufflers with xforce varex mufflers with built-in exhaust cutouts - i just need to know how much room i have to work with...

Could you make a video when you're done? Everything I read was the suitcase delete doesn't do much so I'm leaning towards rear muffler deletes. But I'd like to hear as many options as possible since there's such little info out there for this platform.

Agree with above
1. straight pipe (no CAT / no suitcase muff / no dual rear muff) = VERY VERY LOUD
2. partial straight pipe (no suitcase muff / no dual rear muff) = VERY LOUD (personal experience and lots of drone, drone is slightly less if driven in dynamic and sport trans... drive it in comfort mode will piss you off on drone)!
3. no suitcase muff = deeper note, noticeable on cold starts, small difference warm start, small difference warm car drive (but noticeable and also personal experience)
I posted videos, I went to the exhaust shop 2 weeks almost every day to try every stage, expensive...
1. remove suitcase muff, replaced with SS304 straight pipe - liked it but not enough for me
2. remove dual rear muff - loved the cold start, hard accelerations (driving manual mode and in sport), hated the drone (I have a few heavy modded sports cars, I can handle drone, this I could not)
3. install high flow resonators where the suitcase muff was (didn't really change anything)
4. install FlowMaster44 mufflers (changed the sound too much, not what I was going for)
5. removed high flow resonators, replaced with SS304 straight pipe (helped with the sound but not what I was going for)
6. removed FlowMaster44 and reinstalled OEM mufflers (back to square 1)
7. bought two 2.25 electronic controlled bypass cutoff pipe/valves... this will help me achieve what I want when I want it, wish I did this in the first place (did not install it yet though, later this month as I left town due to work for a few weeks).

I am also contemplating doing double bypass cutouts just before the rear mufflers.
This way it is totally reversible and can be activated at will.
My concern is how well they withstand a Canadian winter without seizing up... lol

My other concern about that is in the winter, it'll look like you have mad exhaust leaks because exhaust will be billowing out from under the car.

When you say you repacked/gutted/rebuilt the S4 mufflers... what did you mean?
And how the hell did you source the RS7 suitcase?
Any pictures of the exhaust system on the car from underneath?

Little late on this reply, but i appreciate it haha. Still sounds great to this day. If you delete anything more than just the mufflers, its to loud IMO. Muffler delete, gives you just the right amount of UMPPFF when you're stepping on it, but its not obnoxious.

How do you like your paddle extensions? I was going to get a set for my A6, but was reading they don't help a lot.
As for exhaust, I'm leaning towards the rear delete and calling it a day. Those who complain about drone say it's in the 1,800-2k range. I've been watching my tach lately, and I don't think that range will be an issue for me.

I should have my car back tomorrow, and I'll post a sound clip vid. I just removed the suitcase, but replaced it with 2 small mini mufflers. I had ECS cutouts put before the rear mufflers to bypass. The main reason for the mini mufflers was to attempt to reduce rasp when running the ECS cutouts open which is basically straight piped. I'm hoping it sounds as good as it does in my head.

I’ve read all the threads and looked at a lot of options and think I finally found a solution that works for my ‘12 A7. I had the OEM mufflers removed and replaced with S7 sport mufflers, also replaced the center resonator with Magnaflow resonated x-pipe and quad 4 inch tips. It gives the car an OEM+ sound but a bit louder and deeper more defined tone with absolutely no drone on the highway and no rasp. It has also been girlfriend approved. We’ll see how it sounds after it breaks in but Im complete satisfied with the results

Not sure yet. Delay at the shop doing all my work, hoping to pick up the car this evening. The mini mufflers were some something I picked up off amazon... yes I know, cheap part, but I'm just trying it out. Saw them used in a youtube video and liked the sound so I snatched a pair up.

2 Cheap 2.25 total flow mini mufflers off amazon in place of suitcase muffler.
Quiet when in comfort unless on throttle. Some noise in dynamic/sport cruising with the higher rpms and more on throttle. Makes me happy but inside the car its pretry quiet since the audis pretty good with outside noise in cabin

Sounds good! Just slightly to raspy / racey for my likeing, i had this then added in the 2 mini mufflers.
I might now try a s6/s7 mittlek center muffler since stock exhausts fit, hoping this will be close. And if not atleast the muffler should fit in the space then adapted to stock tubing instead of the milltek 2.5" tubing
I had milltek on my b5 s4 and i really liked the sound. Hopeing this will put it mlre to the exotic sound like my 2.7tt had but not sure since no turbos in the exhaust on the 3.0.

Heers clip of the s4 , really miss that car. Eventually was stage 3 but sold it for down-payment on house.... atleast have the a6 now total different animal. And much more practical with 2 kids

Just picked up the car. The mini mufflers in place of the resonator sound fantastic. I just wish it was a little bit louder. By adding the Stage 2 dual pulley tune, my supercharger whine increased quite a bit. Now the supercharger is all I hear from the drivers seat. Outside the car, it sounds good. It has a nice deep tone, and I don't hear any rasp.
