I'm running the same setup, as well. VMR 708s w/255 35 19 Blizzaks(Not planning on keeping the snows, I already have a set of 16s). No rub and I'm on STs @ 25.5 FTG.

It's more about the offset and wheel width than tire size. I had no issues with getting pretty low on 255's.

Wow. I have 235/35s on 19x8.5 ET32 now and switched from 245/35 on 19x8 et38 before. The 245s would rub a lot on the OE sport suspension, and the 235s with the lower offset is far far better. What ETs are you guys running to fit such a wide tire?

Just as a side note, 255 is huge for a snow tire on these cars. For snows, you want a more narrow tire rather than a wider one.

That being said is it a bad idea to go 255...i understand more narrow better.. but snow tire vs non snow ... the dude said they were great in snow .. not sure if theyll be different on my b7 opposed to his 2015 s4...

Only under certain circumstances really. A wider tire is much better on packed snow, so it just depends on what sort of surface you're driving on.

Im in Oregon and prefer a wider tire because of the amount of mountain driving I do. More surface area on packed snow = more grip.

But basically with a good set of snow tires, you can't really go wrong

Why not 18s? Lighter wheels/tires and cheaper! IMO 18s look perfect on the B7, 19s could look too big.

how are you guys running 255 tires on Peelers? I run 235/35 ll around on peelers from a B8 S4. If Im not careful I will rub when turning into a driveway. Im running 8mm spacer in front, Without it the wheel will hit the spindle. in the back i run a 10mm spacer but nothing rubs.

So what's the demand for 19" snow tires? Once the snow starts, I'm gonna pull these 19s off for my 16s. If I decide to keep the rims, I'll put summers on them in the spring.

Ive run mine on 19s since i bought it (were original 17s).

No issues with rubbing ever, but I am on 235 35 R19s. Next time ill boot up to 255s, especially for FWD grip.

What size spacers would I need. It seems that technically around 9 mm is needed so I'm expecting the answer to be 10 mm.

Just a word of caution though, 19s make areas with crap roads quite stressful :) Back in WA now, roads here are perfect compared to east coast.

What tire pressure do you run on those, and do you get even wear?
