Fit wider tyres for s6 with wider rim?

Hi my stock s6 run 255 40 19 on stock 19 x 8.5 rim. Is it possible I can go inch wider fit 265 40 19 tyres? The stock rim need to be replaced to a wider rim like 19 x 9.5? Has anyone done it before, still want to stay on 19 inch tyres for better ride and cheaper price

I just put 275's on the stock 8.5" wide wheel. You should be fine with 265's.

Could you post a coupe of photos of this? I'm nearly due for new summer tires, and I'd like to do the same on mine depending on how it looks cosmetically. Photos would be massively helpful.

8.5 rim with 265 tyre will fit ok?
