Rear passenger side license plate lightbulb went out not so long ago, and want to replace both halogen lights with LED. Is this possible without any mod? This is for a Audi A6 (C5) Avant, 2004 (3.0L, Quattro)

Easy swap. I can't remember the exact size but all you need something like this, just get the right length: https://www.amazon.com/SiriusLED-Extremely-Interior-Courtesy-DE3175/dp/B01AHVND32/

I bought these, good light output and no errors.
You can find them cheaper than ECS has them.
Although I've used the plate type, where you replace the whole light with a led type.
If you do that get new screws, it's worth it.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20171105/0b3d2b8822dea6e7523e52ba35665fee.jpg
