Hey guys I have a 03 S6 needed a double din unit as close to RNS-E unit. I most people prefer the OEM RNS-E mk1 or preferred mk2 unit. I seen couple aftermarket units from alie express listed below.

I have searched some threads some people like the OEM other like the aftermarket. Just looking to see the feedback from those that have aftermarket units.

TIA

I have one Audi with RNS-E and another with a Kenwood aftermarket touch screen w/nav. Both were installed by previous owners. The RNS-E looks O.E. and is well integrated with the in-dash display. The nav is not intuitive, so annoying to use that I don't use it at all. The nav in the Kenwood is actually Garmin and very easy to use. Newer aftermarket units would also offer more features and smart phone access.

to20vt, did you end up going with one of these units? Hows the experience if so?

I have one like the last link with android, but I got mine before they updated them to 7.1 and the processors and ram.. it sucks too slow to do anything. I've heard good things about the updated ones with more ram and running 7.1 but haven't used one. The only thing mine is good for is BT streaming from my phone, it cannot do anything else even even that can be a chore sometimes.

RNS-e is running QNX, which is way faster and better suited for this purpose than Android. Second gen RNS-e is nearly perfect.
