P2294 / P2293 / P0087 - CEL and flashing EPC

So a few months ago I had a P2293 code with no boost / power. I replaced the Cam Follower and the car has been great since. However, today as I was headed home from a short trip to the store, I once again had no power, CEL solid and EPC flashing. This time I am getting three codes:


P2294 - Fuel Pressure Regulator 2 Control Circuit
P2293 - Fuel Pressure Regulator 2 Performance
P0087 - Fuel Rail / System Pressure - Too Low

I'm in the process of digging out my old VAG-COM cable and will try to get it running, though this was a cheap $30 cable back in 2008-ish.

Any obvious things I should check? Any other ideas?

sounds like its the high pressure fuel pump

You probably chewed up your cam follower last time? this will damage the cam and therefore eat any future followers. You're probably back where you have started. Time for new HPFP and cam probably.
