My center brake light warning in the DIS has come on super sporadically the last few days – every morning the last few days and not a problem in the afternoon. The bulb is still fine so it got to be a bad connection. My google skillz is telling me it might be a bad connection in the right side light cluster?
Anyone else with a similar issue? And with a fix?
Check the harness in the joint between the hatch and car. Might have a broken wire.
Picture to show the location (I was fixing something else that broke there)

Will do! I'll let you know.

Are those wires on the right hand side hinge just for the third brake light? I have a problem with my right rear fog light, getting no voltage to the socket, so I suspect a wire is shorted/broken somewhere. I am somewhat hoping to find it in that hinge area and it be a simple fix. Assuming the plastic pieces just pop right off?

Pull the 3rd brake light and look for water damage/evidence of moisture. Check the wiring and connector or moisture or damage.
