2016 RS7 has exactly 10,000 miles noise started just a few days ago. Leaving the parking lot of my gym I hear a front end noise sounds like the front right. Has happened about three times now.

It's not a clunk but honestly it sounds like a "whooop"?? When I first heard it it sounded like a cop car had blipped his siren. High pitched for a car noise but not a squeak.

Any ideas what I'm dealing with?

Looks like I'm going to need to schedule a service but I know they will say unable to replicate.

I've never come upon that sound.

My S6 has done that a couple times. I think it was the air suspension.

I get the clunk right after I move from reverse to drive and start driving out my driveway.

you've got a lot of noises going on there...maybe it's a Gremlin.

Nothing I'm that worried about but yes this car makes a lot more noises than my A7 did. I am hoping they are normal noises from the air suspension but noises annoy me especially for a car that I spent over $100k for a CPO vehicle.

The HUD vibrates too.

Of all the noises I can't live with just the HUD is too much. I'll have it looked at again next service.

By the way if it is a gremlin I am not sure if I can drive the car in the rain. :)

This is exactly why I don't buy used. Mine DEFINITELY doesn't have these issues.

I am dealing with this at the moment, to be honest it has been an issue since I have had the car, bought this time last year with 22K miles, now has 38K. The dealership is being really good about it, have had the car for nearly three weeks now and can replicate the rattle but can't locate it.

Basically how mine differs is that I start off slow either out of my driveway or somewhere else and I hear a heavy metallic rattle from the lower right front area. It then smooths out at normal driving speeds and then I hear it when going slow. Sometimes I get a clunk if I drive over a short drop off like coming out of a parking lot onto the different level of paved street.

In any case, I feel like if I don't get rid of the rattle it will affect resale when I go to sell the car in a few years. If they don't get it pegged in a week or so I am going to ask them to do a disassembly of the suspension on that end and look for any unusual wear and possibly replace components. It is under my Fidelity warranty but it was also made note of well before the factory one expired as well so it needs to be remedied.

So what I am looking for is help in figuring out what it could be so I can possibly share that with the service department. If anyone can shed some light on this it would be of great help!

Thanks!

Any chance it could be the metal bracing under the front windshield plastic cowl? The reinforcement braces are known to get loose over time...

I think they have looked into that but I also think it is much lower in terms of where it is coming from. I think.....

Fair enough, just verify they have indeed physically checked it, many have reported front end noise from below like you are and it ends up being the bracing I'm referring to...
