Hello. I have a 13' s4 i just got in may. I have a sim card in it since i got it. It cost me $9.66 a month to have 2GB of data. What do I need it for? What functions do i have or not have with or without it?

You don't need it. Your phone services and mobile data is more than enough for what you would need. Just connect via Bluetooth and you should be good to go.

if you pay for the data through Audi/Tmobile, how many Gigs do you get for use as a mobile hotspot? I can't seem to find a number and would find that feature useful for streaming onto a tablet.

Tmobile card that I had was unlimited, but the data was so slow it was painful. I bought the 30 month plan back then which worked out to be 10 dollars a month and ended up never using it.

Doesn't it power Google Maps and Traffic updates in real time?

So im basically just paying to check the weather and get a nicer looking map. That doesnt do anything for traffic? And i use waze most of the time as well.

My favorite feature is the navigation. You can hit the voice button and say, for example, "online destination chipotle" and it'll list all nearby Chipotle restaurants. It's called "online destination".

I'm currently using FreedomPop for my SIM card. If you don't use the WiFi feature, you use very little data, so FreedomPop ends up being nearly free.
