CAL4.2

Hi, I'm selling my 2002 Audi A6 4.2 Quattro. I'm the 2nd owner and purchased the vehicle in February of 2014 with 60k miles. The first owner purchased the car from McKenna Audi. I have extensive maintenance history from McKenna Audi as well as Ingolstadt West independent Audi repair in Canoga Park. I've addressed the typical C5 A6 generation risk points like valve cover gaskets/cam chain seals, transmission fluid/filter change, coil packs, spark plugs, aluminum oil cooler pipe, auxiliary fan, fan clutch, control arm/swaybar bushings, Bilstein Shocks, and timing belt/water pump just to name a few. These belt driven Audi V8's are among the more reliable ones that go well beyond 200k miles when maintained properly.
You will not find a better cared for 98-04 Audi A6 4.2 (C5) than this one. It is very well sorted and ready to drive across the country. It's one of the few cars that can make you look like a business executive on Friday, and safely take you to Big Bear on a Saturday with no chains needed in the snow.
Notable Features:
Low mileage for the age @ 100k
Religious maintenance and preventative repairs (Mobil 1 0W-40 oil changes with Mann filter). I have all maintenance history since new!
Tiptronic automatic with steering wheel mounted gear change buttons
Aluminum secondary air actuator arms
Bose Speakers
Heated seats front and rear
Sport and Premium packages
New brake pads/rotors
New ultra high performance all season tires @ 98k
Legendary quattro all wheel drive
Same wide body fenders as the C5 RS6
Front and rear curtain airbags make this a safe family car
Modifications:
18x8 RS6 Style Wheels from ECSTuning.com
2Bennett Porsche Cayenne 6 piston front calipers w/ 2 piece rotors (just replaced the rotors in May 2017!), rear up-sized 2 piece rotors ($3,000 new), front and rear pads have a ton of life left
Chrome exterior trim has been wrapped in black, but can be easily removed
Disclosures (Some of these items are just me being picky and transparent):
Center cluster pixel fade
The paint clear coat is fading on the roof panel
CD changer is jammed (who listens to CDs anyways?)
Some vibration felt in steering wheel when braking between 55-65mph
I have dealer service records from the previous owner and an Excel spreadsheet of all maintenance and repairs since I took ownership. All of the major repair items have been addressed while under my 3.5 year ownership. It's truly a great looking design and an excellent highway cruiser. This the last of the mechanical feeling Audi A6s.
I'm asking for $4,899 and am open to trade for manual transmission Audi S4, BMW 3 or 5 series, or VW GTI.
