Picked this up the other day.

Comes with a CEL. What tool exactly do I need to clear it and check codes? Where can i get it?

man you sure you didnt buy an allroad w/ a b5 body on it...jeez that is jacked up, nice though, for the cel you will need a vag com, there are whole bunch of different options out there for it.....congrats

I might be the light (or lack there of) but yea its up there with an allroad.

Ill be getting some koni coils come summer .

Also is ver-409.1 good? Im seeing 30 bucks or so on ebay, is that a good rate?

you are looking @ the cable alone for $30..not the software

you can download a free version from ross-tech.com but it will only allow you to read like 3 codes, the rest will say purchase the full version to access or some crap like that..you are also limited in what you can do w/ the free version when it comes to accessing modules and things like that

if you know what you are doing you can find a free, full version on the internet..you just have to know where to look

the most popular is the 311-2..do NOT download the 409 and then try to install the free 311-2 version that you downloaded..it wont let you "register" it
