Most of the Sunoco gas stations are removing the Ultra 94 fuel from their pumps and only offering 87, 89, 91 ans 93. They've re-labeled the 93 octane as "Ultra".

Most of my local Sunoco stations had 94 and only a couple still have it. After talking to the owner of one station that I use frequently, I learned that Sunoco is having very little success with 94 and due to the gas prices in the September timeframe, they saw a major slump in premium gas sales. They've decided to focus on selling 91 octane as the standard issue "premium" fuel and 93 will be the "ultra-premium" fuel.

Guess I'll have to swap back to my 93 octane software......[:(]

My sunoco still carries it and it's all I use to fill up. Those bastards

Me too. I've been pumping 94 into all of my turbo cars since 1996. What a crappy way to treat their loyal customers.

I am going to ask my local guy if he is keeping it.

That sux. When I'm up @ the parents in PA I can get 94 no problem. But down in MD they've always sold their 93 as ultra.

All I've ever seen around here is 91.

hmm, a Sunoco here just bought a Texaco and I think all the sell is 93, though Im not sure. I like to use Shell V-Power, but that station is out of the way. Now I just use Irving Clean Supreme 93, 90% less sulphur.

That will suck!

Going to have to keep my eye out for this one.

Well my local Sunoco use to have its individual pump for the 94 ultra so there will be "less" mixing involved. But they have recently removed the 94 pump and now i have to mix with the regular gas which everyone puts in...

I went to fill up yesterday for the drive home from my parents house [Scranton, PA] & Ultra is now only 93. They must have just changed it, the 91 & 93 labels on the pump looked brand new.

Well I just got back from a road trip to Phili and Pittsburgh and let me tell you every station on Route 76 has Ultra94 and even some inside Phily proper.

It was the first time I'd ever seen it although I'd heard about it for a while.

Where in NV do you get 93? Best we can get here in Reno is 91 and it sucks! Also no one that sells 100 will pump it directly into the car, so you have to bring cans then put it in yourself if you want anything higher that 91 [down]
