Afternoon Gentlemen,
So upon picking up my new RS7 I noticed a small squeaking when you applied the brakes. As I put more Km's on the car the squeaking seemed to get louder and more apparent. I brought the car into a local Audi where they applied some additive to the brakes and stated that if it occurs again to bring I back. The "additive" worked for maybe a week and then back to squeaking; they then replaced the pads. Hoped that this would work but roughly after 1000KM the squeaking returned.... At this point I was overly frustrated and felt that for the price that was paid for this car this is an issue that shouldn't occur. I then decided to get hawk performance pads to see if this would do the trick as with my RS5 the OEM also squeaked and when I went non OEM that solved the problem. Finally a warm Sunday came two weeks ago here in Canada so decided to put my summers back on and while I did that to replace my OEM pads with the Hawk. I am now 500KM in on these pads and again there is a squeak... I figured maybe some hard braking was needed so went on a few side roads in my area and for lack of a better word beat the shit out of the pads.... 100KM to 50KM to 70KM to full stop... then to 120KM to 60KM ETC... after that there was no squeaking for a few sets of lights then upon braking again the squeak returns...
At this point I am at a loss and have no idea what to do... At this point my next step would be to look at non OEM rotors and see if that works but I just assume with the car having a little under 18000KM this shouldn't be happening...
Anyone else have this issue or remedies? Thank you...
