New to the area, (oc, Irvine area) wondering which wheel locks, and how many people use?
Is getting left on cinder blocks still a big concern?

I have a set on my rotors as cheap insurance. $25 or so from Amazon. McGard is the brand I used

Welcome to the area! I don't think you have anything to worry about being in Irvine.
People literally park Ferrari's, Maserati's, etc. on the street. You could always drive around the Los Olivos Apartment complex and see for yourself.
A lot of international people live over there with deep pockets.
Feel free to reach out if you have any questions about the area.

Agree, literally nothing happens in Irvine. I personally can't stand wheel locks as they make things slightly harder when doing your own service and are easily defeated by anyone that wants your wheels.

What about Huntington?

Huntington definitely has more non-violent crime than S. Orange County cities like Irvine, but still not bad. Will your car be parked on the street outside? Do you have expensive aftermarket wheels?
The traditional tuner lug bolts might be good enough as they do require a "key" to remove. Mcguard locks are fine as well, and I've seen higher end ones distributed through HRE and others you could consider
