I seem to not be having much luck finding fresh info on this topic. Does anyone know of a company that makes heatshields for cone filter intakes on our cars? Maybe some templates or a decent DIY? Would like to see what I'm getting myself into so I can get materials together and be able to do it in one sitting, being my daily it can't be down for too long. Thank you for any information anyone can give me. I'm also new to the fourms and this is my first post. 😃

Send an email to snowboard1921@hotmail.com. This guy was making them as recent as a year or so ago.

I sent him an email last week, hopefully still makes them. Thank you very much, Believer.

Anyone got any info? Would be much appreciated :-) no response from email so I'm assuming that he is no longer making them or it is an old, inactive email. Thank you in advance.

Can you try junk yards? You'd probably have to check quite a few before you found one but if there's some decent sized lots near you it may be worth a stop over.

It's really easy to make out of sheet metal you can buy at home depot.

Use a cardboard as template and cut to desired size and fitting. Then use that cardboard template to trace around the aluminum, cut aluminum with sheet metal cutter or a saw. There's a bolt that's on the collision bar/frame where you can bolt the heat shield.
