Hey crew,

I was wondering which would y'all suggest...

Roc Euro or AWE S-Flo Intake?

Anyone experienced having both? Any opinions about them specifically are greatly appreciated.

Aloha

carbon fiber will turn yellow with the engine heat. I'd go with the Roc Euro. The supercharger whine sounds better from the open element too. Only drawback is the engine bay gets a little dirtier without the closed airbox.

AWE, I have one installed on my 2012 A6. AWE treats carbon fiber and guarantees no yellowing. Also, why would you want to draw in hot engine compartment air vs. ambient air? This would be true for any vehicle intake upgrade.

The AWE intake is a joke, dyno tested by several different people to be 15/20hp below the stock intake. They even acknowledged it themselves saying there is a fix coming but that never happened.

Might want to fact check the no yellowing guarantee, just about all of them yellow no matter what company makes it.

Depends if it is pregnated or non pregnated carbon, the latter will yellow for sure.

I believe AWE only acknowledged that for heavily modded cars with bigger turbos. I believe for people with very little modifications, the AWE intake would be perfectly fine.

Not accurate, dyno'd at a loss of HP on stock turbos. Take the HP out of the equation and focus on it making 0 turbo sound and it turns yellow, waste of money. I had one I know this first hand.

Nice turbo sound from the Roc Euro. A friend with an RS7 and the AWE intake had no turbo sound.

Sold my Roc (black) but missed hearing the turbos. So purchased a new one last night.

This just makes me lean towards just swapping in a higher flowing filter and not touching the intake. The stock intake tube may be the optimal set up that would handle more air without restriction.
