So I have a check engine light that won't go away. P1128 system too lean. Had booth o2 sensors replaced. Mechanics found an air leak and fixed it. Every time I've gotten the car back the engine light comes back. Anyone have any ideas what else it could be? It's a 2001 a4 1.8t awm

Measure your mass air intake (MAF readings).

I'm not entirely sure how to do that

How do I do that exactly?

I assume you don't have Ross Tech software. In that case, download the Torque application on your mobile device (hope you have Android) and pay the $5/10 for the full download. Pick up a bluetooth obd2 scanner and use this for diagnosing your vehicle. Cheapest way to do it, but better way is VSDS software.

We want to log your maf to see if your readings are correct. If you plan to own your vehicle for a while, you are going to need diagnosing software. German cars like being fancy. Do the aforementioned, and boost leak test in the time being.
