View Full Version : Anyone have experience with Aftermarket DV's?

Hey guys,

I was thinking of getting rid of my 710n and getting a aftermarket DV.

I see that I can get the hyperboost Adjustable for 120, and the HX for 170. Apart from adjustablity, what makes the HX more expensive?

Anyone ever try the Forge (piston or diaphram) or the TurboXS?

I have tried the stock, 710N, 110 (porsche valve, similar to 710N) and now have Forge 007. Depending what kind of mods you have, any of the non-stock ones will do unless you are BT which you'd want to go aftermarket.

If you want to save money stick with the 710N and replace every 15-20k miles.

I used to have a TurboXS, didn't like it all that much because it had a delay with my fmic I had. I found the one from Evo motorsports to be pretty nice and had a higher pitch sound when the air flows thru it while its open.

With the GT35R I used the GFB hybrid and Stealth, very good for flowing very high amounts of air. Both of these are still up for sale since I have a Tial 50mm bov on the car now.

My current 710n died about 10k miles so I'm thinking a aftermarket one will be better in the long run for me.

I'm only Giac X-chip, just heard bad things about baileys and wondering how hyperboost are.

i have tried stock, 710N, forge and bailey. I think forge and bailey is really similar and hold better boost than 710N, also depends on what mods you have though~

i agree with steady... i have tried the 710 and bailey holds a little better... been running the bailey for about 10K now

Best thing to have with a stand alone and a turbo setup that flows way too much air for a standard bpv or bov.

Can you explain this sound? Like a little BOV, is it loud?

I've narrowed it down to Hyperboost vs. Bailey's

Happy with Piston Type FORGE unit.
Had to step up to it after tearing the diaphram in the 710N after K04/software upgrade... 710N just couldn't handle it.
