Hey guys. I'm posting this information if anyone is interested in donating towards the Best Buddies program. It supports kids with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
How I’m Raising Money:
On September 9, 2017 I will be participating in the Best Buddies Challenge: Hearst Castle – a bike, run or walk event supporting Best Buddies programs for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. I am participating in the 100 mile bike event.
Why I’m Raising Money:
Imagine waking up one day feeling sad and alone - finding yourself without friends or employment. For 7.5 million Americans with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) – and more than 200 million people with IDD worldwide, this is the daily reality of unjust rejection and isolation this population often faces. Best Buddies International is a nonprofit dedicated to providing opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment and leadership development for people with IDD. Through Best Buddies, hundreds of thousands of people with IDD have successfully moved from segregation and isolation to a new acceptance in their schools and community, and workplaces. Help me, help Best Buddies, by making a donation towards my event fundraising goal and together we can build a more inclusive world!
