View Full Version : 2003 S4 Timing Chain Service
My S4 is approaching the time where it might need the timing service.
Do " any" of you members in the SoCal area have ever had this service perform on their S4?...
Thanks
Guys 46 views and no comments. Don't t tell me that I'm the only one that has a 2004 S4 and or everyone simply ignoring the timing service on their B6 S4...

I am pretty sure I had this done back on my B6, but that was around 8 or 9 years ago. I would guess my car was at the 100k miles mark.
Not sure what info you are looking for in your OP, but I probably won't be able to help you with much more info than that.
Thanks for the reply, I'm looking for a "shop" that has knowledge on this service vs allowing an unknown shop to learn on my car ...worst yet, get hosed at a dealer.
Back to my original question, do you happen to remember the shop and did they do a good job? Thanks
Car culture SoCal and I only have one response after 151 views...no one keeping their B6 S4 long enough for this service?
Come on guys.

If yo don't mind making the drive to Orange County, we can assist. We have all of the special tools for timing, its not easy, and its not cheap, but it is also an important job to make sure these engines run in tip top shape.

No chance of wanting to DIY this?
I would, but don't have the knowledge and tools for this..

Learning is half the fun. Tools may be pricey but I would assume it would all be less than paying a shop to do it.
Ya, I know. Currently not in a position to do that. Thanks
Members, any additional suggestions for an reliable and experience shop in the LA area?
Thanks

Euro-Tech Motors or Eurocode would be good options in that area.
Thanks, I will call Euro Tech for a little advice.

I know some friends that have their B7/B6 S4 chain. They have had a good experiences on it. One guy got it done at eurocode and the other went up north to JHM. I will say it is not cheap.
Thanks for sharing your info. I called and spoke to Jake at JHM yesterday. Its trying to get the logistics iron out for that trip. I might just have the car shipped up to JHM. Eurocode, I doubt that they have the experience as JHM..I don't want anyone to " learn " on my car and possibly have issues down the line..and then have them blame me for the problems...now its just me.
