So as the title says, both sets of oil lines to my turbos have started leaking at 42,000 miles on my 2014 S6. This is the first problem I have had of any kind since purchase in 12/2013. So a few questions......

1. Was there a TSB on this issue? I did a search and TSB #2036167/1 came up. Is this correct? Is it a known problem/defect?

2. How long usually for the dealer to get parts and do the repair?

3. Anyone know how much $$$$ for this if I need to pay out of pocket?

Thanks.

Here is a thread with some of the info. Not sure how much it would cost out of pocket but one post mentioned $1200

Aren't you under warranty or are you tuned?

One is tuned until one isn't ;-)

It's a known issue so they know it's not from tuning.

Yes, but I guarantee that if you take a tuned car in with this problem that it will not be covered.

Their answer....it may be a known issue, but tuning will make it more likely to occur.

But from the looks of what I have seen here, it is coolant, not oil. I do get a coolant smell from time to time, and my level has dropped a little.

Discovered that both of mine are leaking at my 65k service on Friday. Woke up to a couple big drops of oil on the ground this am. Local shop can't get to me until the end of the month and I'm assuming dealer will not cover since I'm out of warranty and will probably charge me twice as much.

He said bought the car 12/13, so he was out of warranty last December (timewise).

It only makes sense tuning puts a lot more stress on the engine/turbos, and therefore even more heat, so I'd bet my house Audi wouldn't cover that under goodwill, and would be justified to do so. Even under warranty, they'd be in their full right to deny it, and no lawyer in the world would convince a jury that tampering with the ECU (a federal offense) to increase boost, obligates a manufacturer to cover a powertrain related claim. That's the first thing people messing with the ECU under warranty should understand. Now, if OP wasn't tuned, I'd try to get it covered under goodwill due to having less than 50K miles.
