if they have been used then yes, perfect for used wheels. you can't expect brand new condition from a used wheel. if they are brand new however, never used, no.

Going to have to agree with comment made by Canuck - however would've expected seller to mention any imperfections. Maybe shipping?
I personally would never say perfect when describing a used item regardless of the condition... I like "mint"

"Mint condition. Rims are flawless as are the tires"

Those are flaws. Legitimate beef. When selling products sight unseen, seller's need to pick their words very carefully to avoid misleading potential buyers. I'd feel misled by this seller's wording.

I had rims damaged in shipping in the past. Do you have pics of all before shipping? In my case the person selling the wheels was bull sh$t that it happened and worked with me to make it right. Good luck, could be allot worse in an effort to be optimistic.

No - those are not flawless, and that's regardless of whether they are used or not. If they have scratches of any kind, they are not flawless and should not be advertised as such.

Agreed. "Flawless" means, well....flawless. "Near perfect" would have been a better way to describe.

Seller admits chip to PayPal. Not a nice or reasonable person though. Even makes inflammatory remarks to PayPal. Really odd.
The chips are on the machined surface. Is that repairable?
The seller packaged the wheels and tires 2 per box but with tire totes and cardboard over the faces. It was the bottom wheel with the chip.
I only opened one box. Should I even bother with opening the other box?

Depends on how OCD you are.
I personally wouldn't worry about those tiny imperfections...

The issue is that I paid for flawless wheels. Way more than I would have paid if I had known that they had chips.

Everything has a price. And angreeness/disappointement as well. I would not bother any longer and send them back, and forget. You'll never forget that sad thing, it'll probably ruin the whole experience. (I had a similar situation with a guitar. I sold it a year later because I just couldn't totally forget what happened... plus the seller's words, not nice.)

If thats the biggest problem with the wheels they are in better shape than almost every other wheel spinning on this planet. I had a dealer curb my hre wheel during service, I moved on. Ask for $50 back and enjoy the new setup.

That's a cheap fix, especially since they appear to be clear polished wheels.
You should mount your tires first though in case the tire shop scratches the wheel. This kind of repair doesn't require the tire to be removed so maybe you can avoid the risk of paying twice this way.

Flawless, they are not. If that's the extent of the damage though, you face a bigger decision on how much of your time and energy fighting that battle is worth.

Like others have said, if that's the only issue with the wheels, be thankful. I recently purchased a set of wheels and was told they were perfect except for one mark (saw a picture of it) and one had been refinished. The pictures used to sell the wheels were old and did not represent their condition.
When they arrived, two had been very poorly refinished and one had stress cracks in the paint around the entire perimeter of the wheel. Recourse through PayPal is a joke unless you want to be out the $200 it costs to ship them back and start from scratch again. $600 later they're all being refinished properly.

Dirt in the 1st picture make it worse. They are less than size of the dirt on your finger nail [;)]. Try wheel cleaner and tooth brush.
2nd picture appears a chip on clear coat. You may try buffing compound to lesson the imperfection.
But, you know these are used wheels and paid used wheel price not new ones although I didn't know how much was discounted.
Wheels are viewed from 6 feet away not from 6 inch.
In no time, road debris will put bigger chips than that as you drive .
Somebody compared wheels to a guitar, but you embrace the guitar and breathe and live with it.
They have completely different sentimental and emotional relationship with owners.
Although I admit that I am having problem with hoarding wheels lately.
3 of 4 cars/truck we got have 2 sets of tires wheels.
Your seller at least packaged properly even with totes.
Recently I bought a set of wheels with tires, and the seller shipped them naked [facepalm].
I was furious say the least. Lucky for him and me, they didn't suffer much since wheels were concave.
I buffed them out. If there were enough damage, I was going to get a quote for repair and charge it back.
Think about it, what is the chance that you get used wheels with less damage than these wheels?
I don't like repair either and live with minor chips because you loose factory finish with repair.
Hope you let them go and enjoy the newly acquired shoes.
